New restaurant on high st. Good customer service and willing to modify their menu for Vegan. However, when you see the dishes they serve to other tables, we wonder, if they could or would be willing to do more for vegan customers? Would love to go again and see if the same cooking style can be applied to serve vegan food that looks, and tastes as delicious as the none vegan dishes.Thank you for your thoughtful review sir. Vegan has so many level, if they are very strictly, they won't be able to eat any flavoring agents apart from salt and sugar. If you ever come in next time, let me know you are the one who wrote this review, I want to see you in person and want to know what you have ordered as a vegan dishes that were not delicious as none Vegan. Since you are the expert of Vegan food, please tell me which Vegan restaurant that you think is the best in Melbourne, so I can do a research.

Compared to all of the other Thai restaurants around this is probably the cheapest. A few different entrees were worth trying out, particularly the 'not' curry puffs. The pad Thai was a bit sweet and bland but the mussaman curry was tender and terrific. Don't expect a flash setting, the lack of flash is made up with quality of food.

My palate was satisfied but if my hair and clothes could talk .. bigger exhaust please or open some windows.For around $15 you'll be treated with some authentic Thai food; Crispy Pork Belly and Greens on Rice, Pad Thai, curries and the like. Crispy Pork Belly can be overcooked sometimes but that spicy sauce made up for it.This is where the legendary "student" & "office workers" go to place for lunch m Zab Thai, Lido Hawthorn has moved into. Mear Wattle Park, corner block, right on the traffic light, a bit hard to locate but definitely worth the trip and washing your clothes, shampoo and shower after.

Conveniently located by the main road and beautiful ambiance. A very traditional feel to the place. Personalized service and authentic and excellent thai food. The host is a flamboyant character, very friendly and great personality. If visiting deakin university - burwood campus a great place to have a meal with family and friends located just 10min from the uni.

We've been coming here for a long time and have always had a great time. The food is fantastic, and a refreshing change from the run-of-the-mill suburban Thai restaurants that dot our area. However we had our first bad experience recently. An overseas guest was allergic to nuts and sesame and we were assured they would not put any of those in our dishes. Sure enough, every single dish came out covered in peanuts, cashews and sesame. To their credit, the restaurant cooked every dish again for us, but this could have easily been avoided.

Judging by the reviews, we must have dined on a bit of an off night. The decor is very nice; parking plentiful; the restaurant was clean; and staff a little slow to take our order initially, but the meals rolled on in good time. The food was the let down on this occasion. Mixed entree was a nice start, although the fish pattie was limp and a bit oily. The main of Porterhouse steak was written to arrive on a sizzling plate, as we see countless times in a Chinese restaurant, but it was not sizzling. The steak was a bit chewy, served blue, which we dont mind at all, but somewhat a let down. The Chicken Curry was average, certainly edible, but not a "wow" sauce that we were looking for. Roti bread was poor, in my opinion. Thin and oily. We all have off nights, perhaps it was just us, and I do admit that we tend to dine at city Thai restaurants, so perhaps we are just used to a slightly higher calibre of Thai, and maybe this comparison is unfair.
