Really enjoyed the "Eglifilets à la meunière" although they were coming from abroad (which is just because of the season for local fish was already over). Service was attentive, suggest local white wine was simply amazing ....

On the positive side, the fish here is excellent. Portions are generous, although prices still a bit high. On the negative side, my husband and I agree that the service is so unfriendly it can only be described as downright rude. On two occasions with two different service employees, the service was embarrassingly bad. From the moment you are seated it's obvious you are unwelcome and only considered a bother to the waitstaff. By the time you've received your food, which again, thank God, is delicious, you almost have to laugh at how unprofessionally and rudely you've been treated. I can only ask, why and how are these people still employed here???

Sympathique restaurant au centre du village de Lamboing.Le service y est sympathique et les patrons accueillants.Les plats sont rapidement servis et tout y est bon... pizzas, pâtes, viandes etc.A tester :-)

Boiseries, ameublement rustique, on dirait que la vie s'est arrêtée dans ce petit restaurant tapi dans la verdure. Mais la cuisine qu'on y sert est savoureuse, bien que la carte ne soit pas très fournie, le service est efficace et souriant et les prix tout à fait convenables. J'y ai mangé une escalope de porc à la crème tendre et juteuse, et l'assiette de légumes qui accompagnait les pâtes était copieuse et bien préparée. A conseiller, même si ce n'est pas très facile à trouver!

I had lunch here twice and both experiences were good, though not outstanding.Nice location - directly across Twann railway station and harbour. I sat on the large terrace with beautiful glimpses of Lake Biel.Fish is excellent: the perch fillets were delicately fried, not greasy at all, and portion was really generous. Starters and desserts were good but unsurprising.Slightly disappointing service - staff polite but not overly friendly. Sometimes slow, as restaurant seems popular with family parties and bus travel groups.Bill is rather on the pricey side due to the touristic location.

We would never knew about this place if not for our Swiss friends. Hidden away in the vineyards above the Lake Biel (Lac de Bienne), this small family run restaurant enjoys a unique setting overlooking the lake and St. Peter's Island. Simple but tasty food, filets de féra meunière (whitefish from the lake) are absolutely delicious. Enjoy your meal on the terrace while watching sunset, the views are magnificent.

The food was very good: they specialise mainly in local lake fish (féra and perch) and - as we went there in autumn - there was also a "hunting season" part of the menu. We were all also very impressed by the service: extremely friendly and helpful!

As to be expected at such a fabulous location, this restaurant is busy and expensive. The fish filets, sautéed or baked, are tender and delicious, the French fries boring and pale, and the salad buffet is traditional and fresh. For most of us Swiss people, it's a once a year kind of treat and absolutely worth it.
