three days ago we walked with my brother and all the children from the parking in Sils to the Hotel Fex. The restaurant Fex is an authentic Swiss mountain place with authientic Swiss food. I had Rösti with cooked vegetabale salad which was exellent. My husband had Soup and Swiss Sausages. this is the kind of food you expect in such a place. Our lady that served us forgot some things but the owner came later and offered us the coffee which made up for the long wait.We had a nice lunch.and we go back.

Not the first time we have had dinner here , and I hope - not the last. Consistently good, with a rich menu and a good wine list.The meal was served at a good tempo, the waitstaff were attentive but not dominating, and as always, the dishes were attractive and tasty. The room is is calming, and that adds to the good atmosphere.

I like very much the "ambiente" , but for my opinion the food could be more tipical. I prefer for example an excellent and simple tunafish-tartar mediterranean style to a tunafish-tartar on banana bred with popcorn sauce. very good wine list. The dessert and sweet amuse bouches were excellent !!

Short stay in January.The location is close from bus stop in Sils Maria.5 minutes from Furtschellas cable station.Vogl supermarket within walkable distance.The room is with modern decor, very clean and very good interior.The room size is adequate.There is a small balcony with small table and chairs providing the view of the road.The bathroom is fairly adequate but shower area is a little tiny.On the top floor there is a balcony with seating arrangement to get top view of Sils/just relax with a drink.Breakfast is good although limited spread.Pizza offered in the restaurant is very delicious also evident from many people coming for takeaways.They provide guestCard which provides free access to public transportation in the region which is very useful.Wifi connectivity was very good throughout the stay.The staff is hospitable,friendly and helpful.Will definitely come back next time.

Ideally located in the middle of the hike between Maloja and Sils Maria, the terrace offers a magnificent view. There is everything to do well, unfortunately the reception is not friendly, the dishes are expensive and unattractive. A salad in sachet accompanied by vinaigrette in bottle and a goat cheese untasty served without a word or a smile, it is a pity. A glass of elderberry sirup was the best of our meal.

We had half-board here and it was a great choice. The food is absolutely first class for quality, taste and presentation. It comes with a quaint, old-fashioned atmosphere of another era.

I was a bit skeptical when friends recommended me taking a long taxi ride to Maloja just for some sausages. Well, since I am a carnivore I was intrigued..What I got was the ultimate carnivores delight! The amuse bouche was a home made dried deer to perfection. The flavor had the smoky hint I was looking for and the texture and bite was imply excellent. We then went for the Carpaccio, since I am a big fan of raw meat. I loved every bit of it although it had a tiny hint of selery too much for me. However, as I learned, don't be shy to tell them the things you don't like. We followed with a large plate of sausage variety and it was simply the best I ever had in my life. From friends I know I have to come back next Fall, as Heribert will offer the whole range of deer on a plate. The Engadin Valley is beautiful, for sure. But places like Bellavista make it worth just to go for the food! All thumbs up!!!

This restaurant in the beautiful and historic building it occupies is simply outstanding. The decor is traditional, warm and friendly in old Engadine style. The staff are very professional and friendly of the Old School. The food is outstanding. We were there for a light lunch and the food was exceptional. Anything on the menu is really good to a standard not often found in this whole Engadine region. We have visited several times over the years and are never disappointed.

We stopped at this restaurant for lunch on our travels between Italy and Germany. There are some spectacular views at the top of the Maloja Pass and this establishment is in the village close by. Sitting outdoors on a sunny day was very enjoyable and a very pleasant hour spent with 2 rostis. My wife had one with veal and melted swiss cheese whilst I went for the local equivalent of the 'all day breakfast' with a fried egg veal sausages and speck (bacon) . Drinks were 2 apple juices. My only complaint is that wifi is reserved for hotel guests. Why? The last reviewer complains about the price- sadly this is Switzerland and the bill was CHF 70. That is almost £50,â¬60 or $ US 70. Quality is very high but the wifi would have been appreciated - indeed expected at this level of pricing.
