A small, cozy restaurant. No big menu card, but what is offered is always fresh and up to date! The host / cook has also often surprising recommendations that you should take to heart.We were never disappointed until now, it tempts us to go there again and again.

Unfortunately, there was a problem with the heating system for the restaurant on the night of our visit; otherwise, the dining room was a nice setting. I had the Veloute de Choux-fleur and Rable de Lapin Farci - elegant and very nicely done but not my favorite tastes. Wait staff was agreeable. The seasonal menus are carefully composed with limited choices but nice variation. In retrospect, I would have had the cordon blue with gruyere cheese.

My husband ordered the fish, which was nicely cooked and flavorful, but very expensive. I ordered the meat dish, with vegetables. The vegetables were nothing short of awful. The salad was flat with little to no dressing. The meat was so salty and unappetizing. As the reviews for this restaurant were so good, I assumed it was safe to order anything. Don't make that assumption. Order the fish or go somewhere else. But be warned that you will only get fish...nothing else. The ambiance is great, and the view lovely, but at the end of the day the food also needs to be good. Situated on the lakefront in Biel (aka Bienne), Switzerland, this brewery and pub features daily specials as well as burgers, pasta, and salads. The otherwise unassuming dining room is dominated by two huge copper kettles and windows opening on the Bielersee shore and surrounding hills. The burgers are tasty, the seasoned fries very satisfying, and drinking a ginger-flavored beer a few feet from where it was brewed makes it even more delicious. The (at least trilingual) staff is friendly and efficient. A great stop on a sunny day with friends and/or family!

Unexpected deliciousness!!! Instantly became our favourite Restaurant in town. If you're in Biel, this is the restaurant you'd love to visit. Great food, delicious desserts, all served by very friendly staff. Located in the middle of the old town in the city, Saint Gervais is is spacious, simply charming, ambiance sort of feels like you've gone abroad, but it's homey too - really pretty with the lights, and has a real family /good friends atmosphere.

I was taken to this restaurant by a Biel's local guy.It was according the expectations: good service, not wide assortment but working on receipts they know will go well.It's driven by the owner in the kitchen, what makes a big different from others. I had a very nice carpaccio and a superb beef tartar. Fully recommendable if you want to get not super ambitious receipts but being sure that what is done is done wanting to be as good as possible. The price is very nice for what you get.Small place with friendly ambience. A bit noisy but not too much.

We were recommended this Swiss place by a young local couple and it was indeed very good. We went for lunch initially....it had menus in 4 languages which was great. Not as expensive as I had expected so we also went back for dinner the following day.....same menu but that was fine. Plenty to choose from and plenty to eat. Good service. Nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.

Really enjoyed the "Eglifilets à la meunière" although they were coming from abroad (which is just because of the season for local fish was already over). Service was attentive, suggest local white wine was simply amazing ....

We had a lunch on a summer noon at the terrace under the trees. Good execellent food, friendly service and they let you enjoy the food and drinks. You may have a nice view on the Munster. It is located in the inspiring area of St Aban and nearby the small ferry to cross the Rhine.
