We visited this establishment later in the day on a warm October afternoon. The waitstaff was outstanding, as we sat by the river enjoying our beer and later an excellent burger. It was a very relaxing meal and evening. We were probably there for about 3 hours. One of the evenings that are etched in your memory forever.

We walked in on a Saturday night with no reservations. Just as we arrived a couple was leaving. We got lucky because everyone else who came into the packed restaurant had a reservation. That tells you something.We shared a Cesar salad that was different and very good. Unique taste. The steaks were perfect, tender and tasty. They had sauces, but we did not try them. Just a little pepper and one of the four salts did the trick. We also shared an apple pancake dessert suggested by or waiter.Then there is the service. The waiter was a young student who knew how to take care of people. Particular in his presentation of food and of how the table was organized, he left nothing to chance. Originally from Dresden, he was as good a waiter as we have had in some time.

Location: leicht zu finden, Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür, regionaltypisches bequemes Ambiente und angenehme, ruhige Atmosphäre Service: sehr freundlich bis vor allem auch zu SpäÃen aufgelegt, souverän, professionell und schnellEssen: Rumpsteak vom Angusrind mit genialer Honig-Whiskey-Glasur (Sosse ;-)). Nicht günstig, aber unbedingt seinen preis wert! Das Steak war ordentlich groÃ, fehlerfrei gebraten und geschmacklich hervorragend - die Honig-Whiskey-Glasur hat mich voll überzeugt. Das Fleisch war aber ebenfalls von hervorragender Qualität.Weiter gab ein sehr gutes Holzfällersteak...Alles in allem hervorragend - wir kommen wieder.

This was an exciting experience. I rarely eat steak & went because it is situated on the site of Tilman Riemanschneider's home and workshop. Of the latter, 1 wall & the basement remain & I am a TR fan so this was a must.The food was wonderful -- a sizeable piece of steak that, in fact, we cook ourselves on the 800-degree heated plates that are brought to us. It was fun, exciting as I was able to go downstairs, & made for wonderful conversation

Really good: we enjoyed a lot place and food. Typical german restaurant, it's good for lunch but also for dinner. Waiters are really nice, also the atmosphere and we had a good stay!
