Efficient management, well-trained and pleasant staff and competent grill hands made this breakfast experience a pleasure. The standard "unreal" breakfast is prepared to perfection... the eggs done precisely to our liking, and this is not a comment based on a one-off experience, but is the reason why we choose to visit this particular branch of Spur if we can. Waiting time today was minimal, as when we arrived the place was buzzing so we were prepared for a lengthy wait. That was not to be as we didn't wait long for our meal. Wandering through Stanley Street, Port Elizabeth, on a Wed evening, we were disappointed that nobody really welcomed us in. Until we got to Salt. The place was viby but we could still have conversation. The food was so tasty, and incredibly reasonable in price.

Once again My WIfe and I went for a meal here, and once again They didnt dissapoint....Really the food was awesome as always,,I had the ribs, with onion rings and coleslaw and it was as great as every other time i have it. We can honestly reccomend this establishment to anyone.

This is part of the Sun Complex close to the waterfront. There is a good choice of steaks and other grills as well as a range of different dishes. The service is very friendly and prompt and the portions are generous. The menu had excellent prices with a good wine list also at low prices. The 200g fillet steak with salad was very good and the whole bill was R1080 for 4 steaks, 2 bottles of wine and 2 double measures of Bains whisky. Bargain at less than £20 a head including 10% tip. The waitress was a delight and very helpful and the manager was attentive to our needs, he also was very " hands on " when he could help out the rest of the staff. This was our only night in Port Elizabeth and is was a brilliant start to our touring holiday.Dear whetstoneview,Thank you so much for your great review! We were three having lunch at Hussar Grill. Our food (2 steaks) arrived 40 min after ordering despite the fact that we were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time. My steak was disappointing: I ordered it rare, and received it as more than medium done. I would give them a second chance though as they have had good reviews.Dear 58Carisas, We are extremely disappointed to hear that the food wasn't of the highest quality that we aim to achieve. A small menu focused around meat. Beef, pork and game variety. This place is in an upcoming trendy area and therefore parking is in the hands of the street g-ds. Inside you treated to a small cosy bistro with three different rooms. Fair price for the meats and the steaks are always cooked to your satisfaction. This could be a nice romantic spot.

I would certainly rate this restaurant THE BEST PE HAS TO OFFER WHEN IT COMES TO STEAK. Although the menu is small and limited, i can guarantee that your tastebuds will explode in pleasure as the steaks are made from the heart. For starter lovers, the flamed chorizo is a must try. Went here for my Sister in Laws birthday. My Wife had the steak, but she thought was a bit tough, while I had the Kudu steak, which was to die for. The owners are very attentive to your table. Overall, nest time I'm in PE, I want to go back for the Kudu steak.....Many thanks for the review Martin

My husband and I decided to sit down and order breakfast while waiting for other family member's to complete their shopping.We had to seat ourselves.We had to take our own menusThere were at least 5 tables that were filthy with plates and left over food on them,They were no where near full.It was around 10.30am; the back part of the restaurant was closed off.I lost count of the number of staff who walked past the dirty tables and did not clean up.We ordered coffee.It took about 15 minutes to arrive.Another couple that we know arrived; and left after 10 minutes as no service.We drank out coffee; and went to the front to pay; no waitron in sight.This is not the first time this has happened; I did take photo's but do not have them with me at the time of writing this.I WILL NOT BE BACK; and it is sad as Spur is a good franchise; their bfasts are value for money; this is a gold mine but the management are no where.Dear 1964DragonLady,Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback.
