It's SW of Hamburg off Hwy 73 on the road to Buxtehude, but it's well worth the drive. actual address: Grenzweg 1, 21629 Neu Wulmstorf.A beautiful place both inside and out with parking! The menu has a wide variety of North German dishes, vegetarian and Vegan plates and a kids' menu, too. Decor is is refined and relaxing with great attention to detail. Steaks are the personal hobby of the owner. Prices range from moderate to what you'd expect for a steak; they come in a variety of sizes. Service is expert and attentive. A little shop at the front offers a choice of hand-made delicacies. Just a serene break from Hamburg hustle.

We have eaten at hundreds of restaurants over the years. This restaurant offers good food at a fair price. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the menu offers a great variety, service is quick, restaurant is very clean and seating is attractive. They do not accept credit cards. I am only giving them 3 stars because on a cool July evening the restaurant was extremely warm. Most of our fellow customers were fanning themselves to cool off since this restaurant is not air conditioned. Probably better to visit when it is cold outside.

Es gibt Gerichte ohne Buffet, da müssen die Beilagen dazu bestellt werden, und eben Gerichte mit Buffet. Das Fleisch war bei uns allen gut bis sehr gut, wir hatten Pute, Schwein und Rind, aber das Buffet hatte ich besser in Erinnerung (vor einigen Jahren). Es gab heute Rohkost, angemachte Salate und Pellkartoffeln mit Sourcreme und Rosmarinkartoffeln. Das Ambiente ist direkt am Bahnhof natürlich so eine Sache, bei geöffneter Tür war die Bahn recht präsent. Insgesamt sind wir definitiv satt geworden und geschmeckt hat es auch.

Busy midweek evening - almost full. Short menu but all came out pretty well. Not much that isnt meat. Went for the lamb - Zarter Lammrücken. Relatively small, seasoned well, cooked perfectly as rare. Potato Gratin and Spinach. Limited range of beer - went for a Pils - no Dunkless, just about OK. Busy, noisy, good service.
