We usually make a pick up order every few months from this restaurant. The last 3 orders in a row were cooked wrong. This last order was on Valentine's Day. I can expect a little mistake here and there, especially on a busy day like VD, but this just tears it. My prime rib was raw. Not just rare, but cold and raw. I ordered it medium. My daughter's filet was ordered medium and it was gray in the middle. It looked like a McDonald's hamburger. Both were covered in cracked pepper for some reason. Only my husband's filet was cooked well enough to eat, even though it was a little under done. The bread included was hard, and we were given 1 small scoop of butter to share. The au jus included in my steak had all of a tablespoon in the container. It was less than 1/4th full. I checked to see if it spilled and it hadn't. So we basically had very expensive baked potatoes for Valentine's Day. Really, I should have learned my lesson the last few times we ordered. The steaks are never done correctly. I can understand the meat cooking a little while in the containers on the way home, but we either get our steaks rare or gray. There is no medium even though that is what we order. We didn't bother calling to complain this time because we were told the last time to bring the order back to correct it. That is certainly understandable, but by the time we fight traffic on Rt 59, wait for the order, and get back home it is another hour or more delay to eat dinner. We just want to sit down and eat at that point. You will probably have better luck eating in house, but avoid carry out.

Saturday night with my daughter's family at Kiku Japanese Steakhouse. We have eaten at several Japanese Steakhouse restaurants in the Western Suburbs. Kiku's is not the very best I have experienced, but it is a close second. The chef show was what you would expect and it was well executed. The food was very good with some interesting twists. I thought quantities were not as huge as some other restaurants. Their vegetable rice was interesting, but not my favorite. The other courses were well cooked and tasty. I had hibachi steak and scallops. I liked their vegetable course, the ginger salad was one of the best I have had and the miso soup was excellent. All in all an enjoyable evening.

We had an hour wait, but the food was good. It was very crowded on a Friday evening we were there. Once we got seated things got better although we had to yell at each other to hear what anyone was saying. The steaks were delivered in a timely manner, but one was dried out and tough as shoe leather. It was brought to the servers attention and it was replaced without a question. That was good. Service was good and the food was good. It's a typical Texas Roadhouse.

We were in town and stopped in for dinner with friends. George and Roseanne were still there and jovial as ever. Stacie was our waitress and and superb as always. We love to stop in for chicken Christopher and sides. The scallops are great and the steaks. The team here is wonderful and very service oriented. We always enjoy our visit and the food when we are in town. The stability of this team is remarkable and so unusual. It can be like a homecoming when we visit. Not stuffy and very family oriented. Great bar staff and George is always on point with wine recommendations. Always a great stop.

This was a first experience for our two teenager daughters loved it. Although they will train to eat more. Katryna was SUPERB!!! Service with a smile making our dinner memorable.Great team work and need to check it out.Brazilian lemonade was delicious for non alcohol drink.

My family and I were really looking forward to enjoying brunch at Eddie Merlotâs. Dressed up and hungry, we show up just to be turned away. Apparently the manager tried calling my motherâs cell phone to confirm our reservation. Like most of us, she doesnât answer calls from unknown callers. No voicemails were left asking her to confirm. However, the manager decided to cancel our reservation as he couldnât reach anyone.The worst part was that he really didnât care. Zero attempts to figure out something that would work. No offers for another time. No apology. When I asked him why he didnât leave a message, he just shrugged. Oh, the steaks are delicious, but so is the seafood. The service was spotty on my last visit â our table wasnât ready when we arrived for our reservation, but I think they forgot us. We had to remind them we were waiting for a table and they seated us right away â but we had waited 30 minutes.
