Find out what Spanish restaurants to try in San Pedro Cholula. San Pedro Cholula is a municipality in the Mexican state of Puebla and one of two municipalities which made up the city of Cholula. The city has been divided into two sections since the pre Hispanic era, when revolting Toltec-Chichimecas pushed the formerly dominant Olmec-Xicallanca to the eastern side of the city in the 13th century. The new lords called themselves Cholutecas and built a new temple to Quetzalcoatl on the San Pedro side, which eventually eclipsed the formerly prominent Great Pyramid of Cholula, now on the San Andrés side. When the Spanish arrived in the 16th century, the city of Cholula was an important religious and economic center, but the center of power was on the San Pedro side, centered on what is now the main city plaza and the San Gabriel monastery. The division of the city persisted and San Pedro remained the more dominant, with Spanish families moving onto that side and the rest of the population quickly becoming mestizo. Today, San Pedro is still more commercial and less residential than neighboring San Andrés with most of its population employed in industry, commerce and services rather than agriculture. Although Cholula's main tourist attraction, the Pyramid, is in San Andrés, San Pedro has more tourism infrastructure such as hotels, restaurants and bars.

"A Black Corona, señor?" " ¿Una Corona negra , güero? This is how started my visit to La Enamorada. Of course, they did not offer a glass, even after being asked.They brought the wrong soup, with a tea spoon. They brought the wrong enchiladas.Mind you, I'm fluent in Spanish and a Mexican permanent resident. No error in translation possible.The food was really nothing to write about, especially for a Puebla suburb, although the plates orders were local specialties. A visit to forget, in an otherwise quite interesting little 'ciudad poblana'

La Colmena has recently updated their menu to be completely vegan! I would recommend the lentil burger. It comes with awesome sweet potato fries. They always have a great agua del dia as well. We're very happy you liked the upgrade! Hope you visit us again soon, we've made lot's of new dishes, we'll be opening breakfast as well! Cheers!

Food is super tasty and they have a very good variety, from fruit and omelette to cochinita pibil and tlacoyos. A musician was playing the guitar and was nice relaxing music. Service was great, place is not big so you can feel the attention to every request is well addressed. I used google maps and it points you far away from it , don't use it.
