After reading the good reviews, we decided to check this place out. The friendly and helpful owner/waiter, who even spoke some English suggested the paella fruits de la mer with the authentic Valencian rice. It was delicious and it was plenty for two people. Afterwards he also suggested places to visit on our way back to Perpignan. We took his advice and got to see the beautiful landscapes and towns. It was a very good experience and I would advise everyone who visits Narbonne to grab a bite at this place!

Having recently bought a house in the area, this could have become a regular. Unfortunately the owner was rude and the food overpriced. My son was served raw chicken - no apology offered. My husband had oysters and was ill for days.Thank you for your comment. I am very sorry for this bad experience, this is not in our habits. My husband, the usual chef, had a serious health problem, and we had to hire a new chef who is no longer part of our restaurant following your passage. I would be very pleased to see you again, and to apologize to invite you for a lunch. Thank you for your comprehension.

The Polygone in Beziers near the train station is about as modern a shopping experience as you will find in the region. There are dozens of little boutiques trying their best to be trendy, chains like chocolatier Jeff de Bruges and book/CD/DVD/crafts vendor Cultura, a major grocer, a cineplex, and even a bowling alley. And, of course, a food court. On the roof. We passed up Subway and tried Me Gusta Tapas.It's a nice space with outdoor tables, tables enclosed but still with an exterior feel, and an indoor space. Comfortable chairs and well-spaced tables. Friendly service, attentive without being intrusive. Some English. We both ordered from the tapas menu. Cathey chose the eponymous Me Gusta Tapas. The full plate included marinated olives with bits of feta, chicken wings, grilled red and green peppers, bread slices spread with garlicky diced tomatoes, Serrano ham, bits of pork on a skewer, and fried potatoes. Cathey especially liked the crusty croquettes of creamy mashed potatoes and bits of ham. I had meat - Serrano, chorizo, and bellota - along with the tomato bread and a small green salad. Meat. Lots of meat. All in all, if not dazzlingly inventive, the food was fresh, tasty, and filling.With a glass of sangria for Cathey, a Spanish beer on tap for me, and a coffee for me at the finish, 45.90 euros.
