Restaurant with 50 years of experience, managed by the same family and with the same quality that characterizes it.
It sometimes happens that you find really good places where you didn't expect. This is one of those, and if they continue this way they will achieve the michelin star very soon, because they offer special dishes that combine perfectly tradition and innovation creating really special flavours. They also change a lot the menu so every time will be different. And then there is Adán. He is the soul of the place, and will make you enjoy the experience with his knowledge and passion for food and wines. Just let him delight you with one of his fantastic marriages, and it will be an unforgettable experience. The price/quality ratio is really good, and all I can say is that every time has been better than the previous one. I trully recommend this place.
With a traditional meal of Castilla la Mancha and an environment that will make you feel at home.
I have to say that El Toboso is a sleepy town, just locals. My husband and I, were following the Don Quixote trail and El Toboso has the Dulcinea home and Dulcinea and Don Quixote iron figures of them. We were hungry and didnât know where we can go with being such a small town. So we came across La Competencia Restaurant. We met the owner and he was so welcoming and very pleasant and very happy to share how he started and how did he open the beautiful hidden gem. Food was what we were just looking for, just the right taste and spices, and great quality. Please if youâre ever in El Toboso Please visit La Competencia
Bonito caserón rural donde pasar una noche o fin de semana, buen atendido por la dueña, muy atenta e implicada en promocionar el Quijote, habitaciones e instalaciones tradicionales y ambiente familiar, bien en general.

Probably one of the best restaurant in the area.Even though, it looks like a typical Spanish bar and nothing fancy, you will get surprise once you taste the food. Great presentation by the chef introducing the menu, we had the weekend menu and it was delicious, ventresca tuna salad, octopus, chicken teriyaki as starters and then a varied of main courses, duck confit, cod,sea bass, piglet and ox meat done over stone. It was delicious.Def we will come back.

The food, traditional manchega, is good and the service is also fine.We were four people, we all had the fixed menu, where we could choose among four or five starters and four or five main courses. We had migas, salad, scrambled eggs with mushrooms and grilled vegetables. As main course the caldereta de cordero ( lamb) was very good. The price was very reasonable.Only minus point: not enough light, very dark place.

This is a typical manchego restaurant.Food is lovely and very well presented, great value for money too but we found service a bit poor, quite slow. There were only two people serving inside and the terrace in a busy evening.

Travelling with four friends, we stayed in the village of El Toboso for one night and this restaurant was recommended by our hotel. The value was outstanding we had a two course meal, wine, and coffee for 9 Euros per person.. In spite of the fact they were preparing the restaurant for a private function for 600 people they were very happy to accommodate us. Delicious local food provided and we even had a free liquor! Recommended.
