In the 2005 census the city reported a population of 387,879 and the municipality of which it serves as municipal seat reported a population of 413,136. The municipality has an area of 118.45 km². Xalapa lies near the geographic center of the state and is the second-largest city in the state after the city of Veracruz to the southeast.

El servicio fue bueno, la comida tambiÃ©n. Es un lugar que tiene fama de tener las mejores carnes de Xalapa... pero no se esperen cosas extraordinarias sino mÃ¡s bien muy bien Esmeradas y con detalles agradables. La limpieza y la presentaciÃ³n de la gente fue tambiÃ©n muy buena.

We had a good parrillada at Asadero Cien at Las Americas Mall. Friendly services and good drinnks. Try the Tamarindo Margarita, it is good.
