You can sit at a table, relax on a couch or lounge by the pool without a care in the world. Have a tasty tropical drink (with or without alcohol) or a leisurely lunch and enjoy the company of resident hotel cats Cala and Luna. Have your camera ready because more likely than not howler monkeys will visit the trees overhead before the afternoon is over.

Delicious homemade food with a varied of healthy gastronomy. Several vegetarian and veggie options with very nice options for dessert.
I love this place because everything is fresh and natural. They offer gluten-free, vegan, lactose-free dishes if you need it. The menu is very complete from Venezuelan Arepas, Wraps, veggie and hamburgers, hummus, and a variety of coffees. The place is nice and they have wifi.

This showpiece restaurant is the only fine dining establishment in Tamarindo located right on the beach. Enjoy lobster, steaks, seafood and a variety of international cuisine under the shade of a huge Matapalo tree, as the sunlight and moonlight are filte
The hot dishes were served cold. Flavorless. Don't be fooled by the extensive menu. Vegetarian dishes lack excitement. Tho they did have several on the menu so bravo for that!

My stay there with Caravan package provided breakfast, dinner and lunch buffer in this restaurant. Everything was great and wonderful during my family visit. I especially liked their grilled fish. Food selection was plenty and we never ran out of choices.

France on our plates but served with costa rican smiles We offer French food including seafood, meat, salads and more. We have vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, allergy-free and more, meals. We are located near the beach, we have outdoor and indoor tables.
Although we were staying at The Capitan Suizo we wanted to take the opportunity to eat in the local restaurants. We had walked along the beach into the town and found that some of the ones we had researched and were recommended on TripAdvisor were on the side of the main road which is unpaved and extremely dusty so we opted to walk a little way out of town and onto a side road where La Cave Langosta is situated. We were in Tamarindo over the weekend and booking was recommended for a Saturday night, this was arranged by the friendly and helpful receptionist at the hotel. We arrived and were greeted warmly and given a lovely table under a fan which was very welcome as although most of the restaurant is open air it was a very warm evening. A jug of water menus arrived with a board of specials, no wine list? We were impressed with choices, I ordered a house salad the steak tartre, husband lobster crème soup and pork medallions in Dijon mustard sauce. Wine,"just come with me", Wine is kept on an enormous "cave" within the restaurant, no listings, the price of the wine is on a label on the top of the bottle! Our meal was superb, the best steak tartre I've had apart from our favourite restaurant in Sangatte in France. The owner who is a real French gentleman introduced himself and asked if we had enjoyed our meal, did we enjoy it, yes , so much can we book for tomorrow night please? Bien sure was the reply. Sunday evening were opted to just a main course, my lamb skewers were tender, pink and herby, husbands steak with pepper sauce(his all time favourite) bought a smile of pure delight with each mouthful. Its a pity the La Cave is closed on a Monday as we may well have been tempted to go again. It was well worth the short walk to La Cave, thankyou for the wonderful food an memories.

Was sadly disappointed with this restaurants food and service. They are definitely amateurs when it comes to fine dining. The service was meh, the menu had things listed that were not available . The food was just ok, but definitely nothing special. I expected so much more from a beautiful property. They definitely have potential but should consult with an expert on how to serve at such an upscale atmosphere .

We read countless reviews on this place, I believe it is considered to be the #7th best place to eat in Tamarindo. This could not be FURTHER from the truth. To begin, the service. We were a group of four and there was already a couple there having a drink. We ordered four drinks and all ordered nachos. It took roughly 10-15 minutes just to get our drinks. The drinks were so bad we could not even finish them. When one person in our group asked for a new drink since theirs was undrinkable the service responded in a rude manor. We all ordered chicken nachos. They were covered with a mountain of nachos. There was an extremely small amount of chicken, beans, and cheese. 90% of the nachos was pico. The entire experience was weird. The place looks filthy and bugs flew all over us during our entire meal. I would say Iâm not sure why there are hundred of positive reviews we were completely dumbfounded when we showed up.

I have been coming to Tamarindo for the last ten years. At first there was no place to get a good steak until the Patagonia opened about 5 years ago. Now It's a place I might return twice during my 1 week stay. I enjoy the Sangria and a Strip Steak.

The scenery is majestic, and the architecture and ambiance reflect the vibrant heritage and distinctive character of Costa Rica. Jardin del Eden's exclusive enclave combines an intimate boutique hotel and truly unsurpassed amenities, including an acclaime
We ate nearly all our meals at La Plumeria during a five night stay at Jardin del Eden. This hotel offers a half board (2 meal) option, but just be sure to confirm that your rate and your booking actually includes it as I donât think itâs automatic. The buffet breakfasts, which I think are always included, are bountiful and phenomenal. These include a rotation of fresh tropical fruit juices, a huge selection of fruits, such as papaya, pineapple, lychee, bananas, kiwis, unsweetened house made fruit yogurts, all types of breads, homemade and delicious tropical fruit jams, sweet and savory pastries, pinto gallo rice, meats such as chicken or beef, cold cuts, an egg made -to -order station, and a silver ice bucket of cava , ready for mimosas. The open air atmosphere is tranquil, lovely and sunlit during the morning, with bird calls and monkey howls, and romantic with low tea candles at night. A soundtrack of soft jazz plays all day/eve. There are three or four different dining room sections, including two poolside tables, and a comfy living room with six tables for 2, separated by a little foot bridge over a koi pond fountain. At lunch, the menu is a la carte, and choices include excellent tiradito and ceviche, shrimp, chicken, salads, and really good burgers. If youâre staying at the hotel, after breakfast youâre asked to choose your evening meal appetizers and entrees from a choice of two selections each, and one dessert is offered each day. During our stay there were a couple of fresh fish dishes, shrimp kebabs, veal, steak, rice and always well prepared fresh veggies. For starters we enjoyed refined soups such as tomato and pineapple creamy gazpachos, and desserts such as churros, passion fruit mousse and pannacotta. The plates were often decorated with a creative brush stroke of fruit or beet purée, and the chefâs overall skill with fine dicing , careful prep and execution is evident in each dish. The portions are on the smaller side, but more than adequate. There is also a full wine list, with some really nice offerings from Peru, Argentina and Chile. Cocktails include all the tropical rum and tequila based cocktails youâd expect, as well as the local guaro sugarcane liquor. After your relaxing dinner you can relax even more with the Costa Rican liqueur, caffe Rica. Breakfast is served from 7am -10am, Dinner from 7-9pm. ( I suggest making earlier reservations (before 8) for more attentive and prompter service, as we noticed a lag between courses after 8pm)

An unparalleled dining experience, El Pelicano is the culinary jewel of Tamarindo. A dining experience like no other in Tamarindo: an elegant atmosphere with a âchicâ outdoor terrace offering a view to Tamarindo Boulevard
I went through the (easy) hassle of joining TripAdvisor just to rave about this restaurant. We have been in Tamarindo for a week, eating everywhere, and gave El Pelicano a try because (a) it just looked nice, and (b) well, it looked nice, haha! The three of us were very glad we did. My son (15 yrs old) got adventurous and tried Seabass for the first time and loved it. Two of us split a steak and chicken dish and both were delicious!!! Oh, we started with a sushi appetizer that was great too. The sauces were wonderful for the entres.Out waiter was Kevin, who was incredibly nice and attentive. We have found almost everyone in Costa Rica is really enjoyable, and obviously that was the case at El Pelicano. Ironically, we walked by the restaurant a couple days before and told the host, Santos, that we would be back in two days and it was pretty funny that he remembered us when we walked by tonight. Really nice guy too! The restaurant is a little pricier than others in town, but we all thought it was well worth it!!!! I think we'll go back on Sunday before we leave :)
