Don Sosa Restaurant, a cozy place where you will find a delicious Peruvian food very varied. We attend from Monday to Saturday, we offer economic menus and also dishes to order. The important thing to visit us is the feeling of knowing that they are eatin
Si bien la carta es limitada, las opciones son buenas y económicas. El local está ubicado a una cuadra de la plaza de armas y es un ambiente pequeño, limpio e iluminado. No aceptan tarjetas, puedes pedir boleta.Recomiendo pedir un sanguche de pollo con durazno y un jugo. El ajà es muy rico!
This restaurant is just a few meters away from the market, in La Merced. I was surprised to see a fairly "upscale" restaurant so close to the market, cuz the market is very basic, blue collar, and is known for having very cheap food. But Luchito is a nice-looking, very clean and inviting place. I ordered a "tallarines en salsa de huacaina con lomo saltado" and I enjoyed it very much. The lomo was juicy and tasty, and complimented the noodles. With a bottle of water, the meal cost $6 USD so it is slightly expensive for the area but not really expensive at all.I will definitely try to eat the "menu del dia" at lunch time, and see how the quality compares to other fixed-price lunch menus in Peru. I love eating good food for less than $3 USD and that's what's great about Peru.
This is probably the best restaurant in this little town. They have the jungle dishes that are from this area, but prepared much better than the other little hole in the wall places that call the, selves restaurants. Out here in the Central jungle of Peru in these small towns there is very little choice.

Great cafe / restaurant with a nice and modern atmosphere. San Ramon is in the coffee area of Chanchamayo and you should expect great coffee all over town. But Oxon-cafe is the only place that has a real espresso machine, so this is the place to get your daily shot of caffeine! Espresso, Cappuccino or even the frappuccino, they all taste excellent. The coffee is from the familyfarm, which makes this a real Chanchamayo Coffee experience! Also a great range of food, with a nice mix of local and western dishes. Had enough Arroz con Pollo? Then get your dinner here! Open from 17.30 - 22.00 (23.00 in the weekend)

We stopped here on a recent family visit to San Ramon and it was one of the best places we ate. The food was excellent and they have a complete selection of typical jungle dishes as well as the Peruvian favorites. I recommend the Zamanyo (not sure on the spelling), which is a large jungle rodent and tastes much like pork. The other thing that made this an excellent place to eat was the location, the restaurant sits right next to the Tulumayo river, so if you can get a table along the river side, you will have a beautiful view and can enjoy the sound of the river while you eat.

Because the restaurant at El Refugio was closed (low season), we ordered dinner by phone and were extremely satisfied with the fast and efficient delivery. The restaurant looks very nice from the outside.
