Went for lunch at Osteria da Sira e Remino and had an OK meal. Most of us had pasta, and the pici with pepper and cheese was great, so was the pici with tomato/garlic sauce. My 7yo son had papardelle with wild boar and ate the entire plate :-) My parents had some grilled meat which was fine but nothing special. The restaurant forgot to serve the vegies they ordered as a side dish. Am unsure if they were charged or not as I did not see the bill. Icecream was a bit boring (sorry), so go elsewhere for desserts :-)

We three had an excellent experience at La Taverna. The gnocchi w/tomato vegetable sauce was a hit and the grilled steak w/oiland rosemary was perfect. The San Felice chianti Classico gran selection was great and 70 percent of the cost in a San Felice restaurant.Nice sever and reasonable pricing.

Little to add to the last dozen or so reviewers who loved this charming restaurant; totally agree. Almost gave up hope of finding it, but gritted teeth and kept going; the enticement at the last stage was catching a view of the classic hill village of Barbischio where this jewel is found. I was received by the owner with warmth, despite having no booking. Both the tortellini and the cheesecake were evidence of loving care in the kitchen; freshly prepared, mouthwatering. Hope no one reads the reviews, or there will be no table available if I return without a booking.

The setting f the restaurant, the service, the food selection quality are all superb. I can see no areas where it could be improved. We both had truffle pasta dishes which were excellent. The wine selection is great and the Canneto Montepulciano that I ordered was one of the best I have tasted. This was a great way to spend our last night in Siena. Overall Siena has an excellent food scene. On to Florence.....Grazie Robert, che bisogna dire ...... che noi siamo voi e viceversa, siamo una famiglia e ci piace stare insieme, in allegria e serenità . Che câè di più bello....nulla in questo mondo difficile, fragile, insicuro almeno godiamoci lâattimo insieme. Grazie di cuore e a presto, Lorella
