My friends and I went to lunch at this lovely establishment this week. Our focaccia sandwiches were the best we had ever consumed. I looked around at other diner's selections and the soups and salads looked very delicious, I overheard diners confirming this observation. The dessert case was filled with delectable pastries, I was too full to order one, but I will definitely be dining there again to try more items.

Superb--the ambiance. Be sure to leave time for a tour of the upper floors.Very good--our party liked the steaks, scallops and the chicken. In particular, the sweet potatoes were very tasty.Could have been better--the brownie for dessert, which was unremarkable.Really could have been better--the little touches, such as the components of the meat and cheese plates were never identified. I was also astonished that after we used the cutlery that was used for the starter, the server put them back on the table to be used for the entrees instead of bringing clean knives and forks. My wife and I tried their lobster rolls for lunch one day and 4 steamed whole soft shell lobsters the next day. Great toasted roll lobster rolls with tasty and juicy meat filling. Comes with a bag of chips as well. Nicely filled with meat. So good, we decided to get 4 soft shelled whole steamed lobsters and devoured them outside at the picnic table. Again, juicy and delicious! Service was excellent and friendly and we'll be back! Can't be beat in Bangor as well as Ellsworth.
