A group of 4 colleagues met for dinner, following a day-long meeting. We were greeted warmly and provided a nice table on the outside deck, overlooking the water and sail boats. The food was fantastic - Mussels in a white wine sauce was tasty. We were provided rolls for dipping. The rib-eye steak was cooked to order (I chose medium-rare) and it was accompanied by hollandase sauce and thick streak fries. Parking can be a challenge, but it is well worth t he visit.

We arrived without prior reservation which turned out not to be a problem. We were served by three waiters who were all polite, professional and patient. My husband and I chose to have the three course lunch menu accompanied by a Classic beer and plain water. The starter was a delicious steamed cod with prawns and spinach in a creamy sauce. The bread was home-baked in a funny triangular form and very nice. Next came two huge slices of veal with potatoes, mushrooms and vegetables. The dessert was a white chocolate roll with vanilla cream, sorbet and fresh strawberries. All three dishes were exquisite and just right in regards to volume and flavours.The waiters left enough time between dishes for us to enjoy the aftertaste and the view from the windows. The rooms were formerly the miller's home, and the decorations are in keeping with the time period. The music playing in the restaurant was a great backdrop to our lunchtime conversation.All in all the lunch wasn't cheap, but we felt that we got very good value, and will definitely go back when we have the chance.

Went with my girlfriend to end our Denmark trip with a nice sushi meal.Restaurant looks cool. Menu pictures looks great and menu also seems very creative.Server was friendly and helpful.Then to the food.We had 4 different rolls, 2 with tempura shrimps.Well, from the very impressive pictures the food quality and tasty simply wasn't good.Ginger felt not fresh, rice was strange and very salty. Fresh shrimp roll had no taste for me at all.Tempura was fried a lot and had also little taste.Chili mayo tasted strange but okay, all restaurants has their own twist on the mayo.Last but not least. My GF ordered the Miami roll which should have asparagus. That was replaced by cucumber without telling us. When asking they said kitchen was empty and said sorry. No compensation offered.Maybe Im picky when it comes to sushi but as restaurant sushi, this was one of the worst I have eaten when it comes to quality.

Went there one ordinary evening in the early fall with some clients. The place is somewhat off the beaten track in an area between the old industrial harbour and the more flash marina.In season there is outdoor seating and a scenic view of the marina and the Vejle Fjord including the highway bridge.When going such a place seafood is the obvious choice, and we were not disappointed.For starters a soup made on turbot with small delicious pieces of hake in it - finely spiced and with a creamy feeling to it.For main course a skin-fried cod with various vegetables and a delicious sauce. The cod was fired to perfection and with the delicate mild taste and snowy structure of young cods - not the more flaky texture you find in older and bigger cods - but which is very good in other dishes.The wine selection is fine and a very good Trimbach Pinot Gris Reserve was surprisingly affordable - and a true enjoyment to drink. I personally think that keeping an affordable selection of high quality wines is far better, than to pump up the prices on the expensive ones and sell some cheaper wines by the bulk. Kudos for that!Ending off with a Panna Cotta with red berries with a nice balance between cream, sweetness and the freshness of berries were good.All in all I was pleasantly surprised of the quality level and the price level and would like to come back some time.

I Vejle findes en af landets mest oversete spiserestauranter. Restauranten har 2 stjerner i Den danske Spiseguide og er totalt undervurderet - fordi ingen kender den. Jeg har spist på de fleste af de førende restauranter i Danmark og restauranten er på niveau med de fleste. Det er rigtig synd. Vi fik en enestående 10 retters menu - med vin menu med den ene overraskelse efter den anden. God og professionel service med stor viden om vinmenu og de enkelte serveringer. Det er mig en gåde, at der ikke er udsolgt langt frem i tiden. Jo - det koster at spise 10 retter - men det gør det på alle store gourmet restauranter. Forklaringen er muligvis den ligger i Bredal som er 3 km Nord for Vejle og de driver også kroen Bredal kro - som også er et godt sted som kro.Jeg er sikker på, at de med en bedre markedsføring vil være på højde med gourmet restauranter som både Treetop og selv Fredrikshøj i à rhus. Hvis du vil forkæle dig selv og din familie så er her en rigtig god oplevelse.Tak for en fantastisk aften.
