We are only 5 km from Savoca, from here you can admire a panorama of great beauty on the Strait of Messina between Scilla and Charybdis, Beyond the pizza you will find: appetizers, first courses, fries and Sicilian whims. Our preparations follow the seaso

Simple uncomplicated and good quality food. Enjoyed mixed seafood starter to share followed by mixed grill. Nothing fussy and nice house red wine, thank you!

This did turn out to be a very good choice! But to be honest there were no other restaurants open. This is pretty much an entirely seafood restaurant. The dishes we chose were very well cooked and presented. I would recommend this to anyone who has a passion for varied and well prepared fish dishes.

Open from 20:00 the restaurant can cater for about 100 covertsThe staff are friendly and, with them trying to help in English and us with a translator app we quickly ordered drinks and food. All staff were polite and friendly. Messina Beirra is lovely and best ordered in small bottles as it gets warm quickly and the flavour changes. Share big bottles!Starters were deep fried calamari rings and prawns. This was huge for a starter and really nice!Mains was seafood risotto absolutely lovely. You cannot come to Italy and not have a tiramisu which was chilled and perfect. Service was a tad slow, but maybe we need to relax more. A reliable restaurant at about £35-40 per head with drinks included.

Maybe this place is OK for aperitif, but definitely not for dinner. The place itself looks nice, but the food is absolutely disappointing. Plus slow service. Avoid.

The restaurant "Le Due Torri" extends in two large rooms of 150 seats, a rustic atmosphere with an elegant and classy look overlooking the sea of Santa Teresa di Riva in the Ionian coast (blue flag 2017, assigned by the Fee for the beautiful beach and for

Awesome pizza and house red wine. Bring on dessert! They even brought out a delicious bruschetta as a starter for free. Fantastico pizze e vino Rosso della casa.

We went to eat here despite some fairly bad recent reviews, as a local recommended it. Initially it looked like we were in for good evening as the staff appeared friendly and helpful. The waiters gave us English menus and his own English appeared to be very good. We ordered a meat anti pasti for all 6 of us as a starter, just to be sure I pointed to the item on the menu. After a while plates of seafood started to arrive, we sent it back which did not go down well. The price of the dish we ordered was â¬12 / person, this dish was â¬120 / person. The friendly service disappeared from this point on. The correct starter arrived which was basic but ok. I ordered spaghetti Vongole as a main. When the main courses arrived, I was given a bowl of clams, I then asked where the spaghetti was, they looked confused, took my plate away & then about 20 minutes later, after everybody else had finished, bought me the correct order. The spaghetti was uncooked and the clams were the same ones from earlier. I didnât eat it. Whether the problem with the starter was an accident or a way to hyper inflate the bill, the whole episode ruined the evening and this went from an average restaurant to a disaster. None of the food was very good at best average & not what you expect in Sicily.

We stopped for lunch, yes the Etna view is beautiful, the staff were friendly however the food was horrible. The pasta dish was packet pasta, they told us it was good quality packet pasta though! We were very disappointed and left feeling hungry and dissatisfied The Best part of the place was the viewDear Justyna,I am sorry to read this comment.Obviously, there is a language/knowledge barrier. I will try again to provide a briefly/synthetic explaination in the hope that you will have future wonderful meals in Italy.1) Pasta = all types of pastas, ingredients, shapes and sizes "spaghetti, pennette, etc."2) Dried Pasta "allâuovo" (made with eggs) comes in a package3) Craft made pasta allâuovo âpasta frescaâ (home made with eggs) â it can be in a package4) Dried pasta made with just water and flower (comes in a package) 5) Craft made pasta made with just water and flower âpasta frescaâ â It can be in a packageThen you have all of the processed ones (frozen, etc.) which you might find in many bars âtouristicâ restaurants, airports fast foodâ¦â¦In our Hotel we use both Dried pasta (as 99% of the restaurants in Italy) On out evening menu you can find both dried and craft madeIn both cases is freshly made/cooked for you (some restaurant would also pre-cook the pasta). We have a small kitchen and only 12 table everything is cooked espresso for our guests we do not use processed food, we take care of all the preparation. We can specifically prepare a requested type of âpasta frescaâ craft made pasta which is not on our menu with a one day notice. We love to personalize meals.I hope that this explanation will make you reconsider your comment and to see you again in the future.Kind regardsPaolo Ferrari, Manager Hotel Villa Ducale Taormina's Boutique HotelPart of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World
