Lovely La Flotte has many restaurants. This is on the main square. Prices reasonable for the location. Grilled salmon perfectly prepared. Very attentive and congenial service, if a bit too fast- paced. Bread basket refilled without having to ask. They also give complementary little extras - a nice touch.

A fabulous experience from start to finish. Seafood at its best from source to table in a few hours. Atmosphere perfect, host warm and engaging, staff attentive and helpful. This is one of those experiences that we will be remembered for all the right reasons. Would I go back, absolutely. If you are in the area and like seafood, definitely go here. Well done to all at Le tout du Cru!

This was our last day on Il de Re and we wanted something relaxing and good for our young family. We hit the jackpot!!Superb fish, wonderful service and great value. What a difference from the overpriced tourist fare round the harbour Oh - and amazing craft beer (from The waiters home village)!!

One of several ostréicultures (oyster farms) nr St Martin where you can get fresh seafood - live oysters, fresh cooked bulots (whelks) and cooked crevettes. What makes this one special is the view over the oyster beds, and chic decor. Yet despite looking like a fancy hotel roof garden, it was mid priced, family friendly, and very welcoming. The wines were great too. The guy at the bar was also fully bilingual (Eng/Fre). No bookings, so if the weather is good, get there early.

We ate here one evening, lovely views over the water. The food here is really very good and this place deserves a visit. The fish soup is excellent and the mussels sound (don't expect frites, they serve potatoes with everything). My wife has sea bass which was also good and the people around us were noshing down their food with little left over. The service is stretched and something as simple as getting the bill or enough drinking glasses or a spoon can be a small frustration, but if you are relaxed enough to deal with these minor struggles then pay a visit.

My husband and I had dinner here last night, the interior is beautiful, warm and the food was great. While we were eating there we found out that it has just opened with new owners and they have redone the interior. We ordered the shrimp and beef tataki to start, the presentation was great and food was delicious! For our main course I had the steak and my husband had the lamb, cannot go wrong with either! Great wine list and cocktails! The service was great and our waitress made sure we had everything that we needed.

We stayed at the hotel attached to Le Grand Large. Had a meal and several breakfasts there. The Staff, especially the waitress where very helpful. Breakfasts were great. We felt very welcome as a family with three kids, their food was brilliant, especially my daughter's fish (lieu jaune) was cooked well and served with excellent mash. For dessert the kids had very good chocolate cake. My wife and I enjoyed the set meal.It was a fitting end to our holidays.

We enjoyed the food. We felt that the restaurant was not as friendly, attentive or receptive as some of the other restaurants we visited over 2 weeks. Perhaps the restaurant tends to focus on regular local customers and is not as well geared to us foreign diners.Nice but not our favourite.
