Our second visit to this slightly crunchy restaurant. RainyTuesday night so not packed. Called ahead and were told no reservation necessary. After a half hour drive we arrived and were greeted at the entrance. We were informed that the card machine was down and would have to pay in cash... ok no problem but could have informed us when we called but maybe it just happened. Lucky for us we had cash as no atmâs close by as in a slightly remote area. Endamame appetizer, a rum drink and craft beer to start. A Mahi special and pulled pork ordered, came in a short time. Mahi was fresh and tasty with veggies and white rice. Pulled pork was good but had to dig for it as it was a small portion under cole slaw and plantains, fries were hot and crispy. All in all a pleasant experience and would go back. If youâre in the area please give it a try.

International flair. Local inspiration. Featuring gourmet international and Costa Rican dishes, the Alma Restaurant features fresh seafood and produce, with many fruits, vegetables and herbs grown in the hotelâs own gardens.
We were here a year ago and couldnât wait to come back to enjoy their patacones (deep fried plantain chips) and many other items on their diverse menu. Our friend is vegan and he could have a fabulous meal along with the steak eaters of the group. Best drinks on the beach and the ocean views canât be beat. Be ready to sit back, relax and enjoy an evening of food, family and friends. You will not be disappointed!
Great little roadside place. But there are two restaurants side by side and you must park in front of the restaurant you are eating in. Great food at very reasonable pricing. The ânaturalâ drinks are incredible. If youâre here for more than a couple of days be sure to check it out.

We stopped bifor lunch on the way grom Monteverde to Manuel Antonio. They use very good olive oil, the dorado with garlic sauce was so good
We visited this restaurant while looking for a place to buy fresh seafood, so found it by accident. My husband and I got a beer and split an order of ceviche mixto, served with fried plantains and a garnish of star fruit which was fabulous. We saw another table served with a huge casado plate which we plan to order next time there. Worth keeping a lookout for the sign along Rte 34 north of the center of Parrita.
We stopped here for an authentic Costa Rican lunch. We were all very happy with the decision. The special was delicious, and the shrimp and rice was so loaded with shrimp, we couldn't finish it. The atmosphere is clean and modern but pretty close to the road. Prices were reasonable and we'd love to go back and try some more of their menu items.

The food was delicious, although the ribs we ordered were not in a rack like I expected, they were pretty good and the fillet mignon was amazing and at a great price. It is really clean and the waitresses were really nice. Keep in mind this is an open restaurant, so if its hot out, although it has big roof, it will be hot there as well. The waitress put a huge fan by us to hwlp us with the heat, and since there are no walls, to keep any insects off our plates. A really good experience over all.Added bonus, they have a pool area in the back of the restaurant with kiddie pool and slide, which will cost you 2,000 colones ($4) to use. Also there some hammacks to lay down.230 am, first time tylenol
I am so surprised this cute busy restaurant doesnât have more reviews. Super clean, delicious garlic shrimp, friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere! We will definitely return!

We were in a road trip from the south to San Jose, at lunch time we were in Parrita and found the place on tripadvisor. The food was good, we had "corvina" with shrimp, fries, shrimp rice, paid about 50 usd for 3 dishes and drinks. Pito the chef and owner of the place was very kind. Pito lost his previous restaurant on a fire, very sad, he is trying to recover from.that disaster.
