This restaurant is among many along the moat as you enter the Old Town of Lubeck. The service was prompt, they provided a menu in English on request, and the food was tasty, plentiful and prompt.

Enjoyed very friendly service, fresh local fish and Labskaus, plus fish and chips for our kid. Dining outside on the swimming terrace is fun,too, as long as you don't mind the occasional movement. Excellent spot for watching ships passing by in a quiet environment. Note the restaurant can neither be seen nor directly accessed from the nearby "Auf dem Baggersand" street, only from "Fischereihafen" (fish harbor) footpath.

Seitdem das Restaurant neue Besitzer hat, ist es sehr viel besser geworden. Wir waren schon häufiger dort und die Qualität des Essens war jedes Mal sehr gut. Lediglich die Rotweinzwiebeln waren bisher nicht nach unserem Geschmack. Der Gruà aus der Küche und die Blumen für die Damen sind eine nette Aufmerksamkeit. Der Service entspricht allerdings nicht den eigenen Ansprüchen. Es wird vermittelt ein gehobeneres Restaurant sein zu wollen aber diesen Eindruck machen die Bedienungen wieder zunichte. Beim Bedienen und Abräumen wird über die Gäste gegriffen anstatt um sie herum zu gehen und auch teilweise abgeräumt, obwohl mindestens ein Gast am Tisch noch isst. Auch bei der Geschwindigkeit muss noch zugelegt werden. 30 Minuten auf die Rechnung zu warten muss nicht sein.

We had Dorschfilet and Patato with shrimps and sourcream. It was okay but not the quality the almost best restaurant of Travemünde should have. (2 of 34).The fishfilet was in many small pieces and the shrimppatatoe too greasy. The personnel was okay and friendly. Nice view on the harbour from the quay.

This is a wonderful place to dine. The staff fantastic the food amazing the atmosphere warm and friendly, it's s must. The menu is extensive with a wide range from fresh fish to meat dishes and vegetarian options as well. Plenty of good wines on the menu as well. The staff look after you and once your sat comfortable you can just relax into the evening and enjoy your meal. It's a great place for all kinds of visitors from business to romance. I definitely recommend this place. Surprisingly there were very few people in the restaurant at lunchtime on a weekday. My dish with two varieties of fresh fish was excellent. A very historic place catering to the captains and officers of the shipping industry. Interesting ships models hang from the ceiling and a corner is devoted to display of navigation instruments. There is even a table reserved for those patrons who are ship's captains. Will visit again if I can make it back to Lubeck.

The antipasti was very good, and so was the secondo and the wine. But the service was entirely indifferent (an understatement); not a single smile and no friendliness whatsoever. And I certainly could have done without the view of the waitress munching away at her own dinner at the bar during my antipasti; not an endearing sight.

This beautiful, modern Hotel Restaurant is situated in a wonderful location by the sea, in the charming German town of Timmendorfer Strand. The food is international with a strong Oriental inspiration which makes it very interesting as well as delicious: the Tempura jumbo prawns were fabolous, the selection of fish was incredible too. The wine was chilled to perfection and the service fast, professional and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Letâs start with the conclusion: we got caught by Fangfrisch, hook, line and sinker. Itâs fabulous: food is fresh and tasty, staff friendly and efficient, it is extremely good value for money and the decor is lovely, too. It must be one of the best restaurants in Lübeck. Period. Itâs now our go-to when in town. My favourite is the fish soup. On my first visit I had the starter portion, followed by a hake on lentils. It was delicious and it was way too much. The starter portion is big enough as a main. The husband loves the Krabbenbrot as a starter: tiny shrimps piled high on dark bread. Whatever main courses we had - it was always super fresh. Everything gets washed down nicely with a bottle of very reasonable and very crisp white wine. Try the Grauburgunder. It is delicious. Fangfrisch also offer a nice selection of craft beer and tasty herbal tea. What is there not to like? Well, perhaps that they close quite early.

It been a great weather on Sunday so our family decided to drive so far from Maschen to have lunch here after we haven't been for long time and of course my parents last dinning here was spectacular with top notch fish and great service.Unfortunately, the best restaurant of the town it wasn't there anymore. The food and service turned us down. We could have just pop by at any restaurant in our hometown because of same quality.However, the decoration is so sweet.
