Friendly servers, but the food we had was not great. The fish soup is OK for the price, but the mixed salad was tasteless. Just tasteless lettuce, onion and tomatoes with oil and too much vinegar. The mussels were absolutely without any flavour except garlic and too much salt. The prices for grilled fish are the highest we have seen in 2 1/2 months if traveling. They looked good on the grill but st those prices it should be stupendous. But the location is very nice.

Would have given zero stars if I could. Were there in July 2018 at 7:30 pm at the height of the tourist season: 60% of the fish on the a la carte menu was not available, had octopus that was decent, but twice as expensive as the same dish of the same quality in this region. My wife had fixed menu (which the chef did not offer, we had to ask for it additionally): 3 out of 4 fish choices were not available. Tuna in the salad was about school cafeteria quality, the worst salad of that kind that we ever had, and we had tens of those in the North of Spain. The only available fish was named dorada in the menu, but had nothing to do with actual dorada which is a tasty fish, instead it was a thick God know which species filet that was previously frozen and tasted like cardboard. No amount of friendliness from the chef can compensate for bad food, unfortunately.

When in a new town we like to ask around for local recommendations and were not disappointed with this one. We were welcomed graciously and seated immediately. The food was delicious- simple but well done. What really stood out for us was the way they accommodated our friend who is a vegetarian. She was flexible for sure, but they made an amazing pasta dish that was well seasoned and copious. She was thrilled and we are thankful. After dinner we took a slow walk back into town feeling satisfied.

We had high expectations for the seafood restaurant based on TripAdvisor. The elderly hostess greeted us and took our jackets. A waiter/salesman came and explained the restaurant menu to us, pointing out several types of fish that they were out of. Once he took the order we never saw him again. The waiter was followed by an individual who helped us select our wine - we never saw him either. There were several helpers who presented the dishes and took our plates when finished. The wine was placed in an ice bucket on the far side of the table where we were sitting. When I asked the helper for assistance and pouring another glass of wine she moved the bucket closer to me and said “it was now easier for me to serve myself and my wife.“ I have never had this kind of service or response, particularly for what is promoted as a fine dining restaurant. As for the food it was average in preparation served lukewarm and accompanied by mixed grilled vegetables (when I asked the waiter what type of vegetables his reply “summer vegetables.“ )Everything served was à la cart. This is not a cheap restaurant and there were adults wearing shorts and sloppy looking Levi’s. There were young teenagers teasing each other & disrespectful of their parents. This experience was very disappointing and not only would I not return, but I would discourage others to find a real dining experience.

Oso ONDO, Ismene eta millesker zure arreta gaitik
