Louvain-la-Neuve (French pronunciation: [lu.vɛ̃.la.nœv], French for New Leuven) is a planned city in the municipality of Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, situated 30 km southeast of Brussels, in the French-speaking part of the country. The city was built to house the Université Catholique de Louvain; following the linguistic quarrels that took place in Belgium during the 1960s, and Flemish claims of discrimination at the Catholic University of Leuven, the institution was split into the Dutch language Katholieke Universiteit Leuven which remained in Leuven, and the Université Catholique de Louvain.

This place offers great meals and the staff are nice and friendly. There is a nice atmosphere to be found! Also a good place when you are on a budget! The outside seating area is fairly basic, well screened from the wind,but nothing special. Good choice of Moules dishes. The moules were succulent, but the frites were disappointingly lacking in crispness. The price for moule frites, water, apertitifs a beer and quart de vin was a little on the high side. Service, while pleasant ,was not outstanding. Probably will not return, at least not for Moules frites and not to eat al fresco.

Business dinner in a casual atmosphere. Snails, sashimi - delicious. Very attentive service. No wonder why this place is full even on a Wednesday evening.
