During or day trip to Moreton Bay, we were looking for a lunch who will serve local sea food particularly the famous Moreton Bay Bugs. The local information Centre guided us to the restaurant called Tempest. This is located near the boat club. The look from the outside was not very impressive, but we went in anyway. The place is quite big and offering Japanese Teppanyaki and also western food. After greeted by friendly staff we looked at the menu which includes Bugs. I ordered beef steak and bugs and my wife ordered Salmon and Prawn. The steak was cooked perfectly and the bug was fresh and delicious. My wife commented that this is best prawn shed after a long time. We came to know that the seafood are caught locally. It is no wonder that they taste so very good. The price is also not sky high and serve size is generous. The service was also excellent. I must say that the food we had here is way better than we had in many hatted restaurants in Melbourne. The décor of the inside is nothing flash but one of the best tasting food in Australia.

Watercress is open again for business. My son rates this the Best Restaurant in North LakesThe Menu is excellent and the welcome and service is superb.If you are near North Lakes Queensland Australia, go to the Watercress, You will not be disappointed.

Very small eatery. Friendly, helpful proprietor. We have been to India several times; Ravneel's is the closest we've had to 'Genuine' Indian cuisine. The majority of Indian eateries, in this area, have "dumbed down" to European tongues. Upon explaining to the owner our disappointment in flavours and spices (NOT HOT) just genuine flavour, we were supplied with a meal with "mild seasoning" and, for me, an highly seasoned dish. At last ONE eatery in Burpengary we'll return too!Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your meals at Ravneels.Our goal is to introduce genuine Indian cuisine to Burpengary and the surrounding areas as well as offer our own mordern household favourites.I believe that if you haven't had Dhal (lentils), then you haven't really had Indian. Dhal is the most popular dish in Indian households, and is to Indians,what Butter Chicken is to the rest of the world. We hope to see you again soon to try mire from the Ravneels menu. Punjabi Lamb or Chicken would be a dish to try. (It is our own creation, mild yet full of flavour). Thank you .

Notice this shop the last few times we went to the bakery next door. The fresh seafood section looked as if was genuinely off their own trawler and the fish and chip section looked clean and well run. So eventually yesterday had Lunch there with my wife. Now there are only six tables outside (though you could eat in the food court area inside) and they didn't make coffee their fish and chips was rather special. The chips were crisp and virtually oil free like an oven fry. My wife had grill fish which was plain but an assortment of favours including Garlic and Thai was available.I had the salt and pepper Calamari with chips, total cost < 20 dollars.Was it good? yes as good as it look as it was beautifully presented even if on takeaway plate and trays. Just have a look. Order a crumbed calamari later just to be sure, little more oil on it but still great. Will have to try out the fresh seafood real soon! I just had to write this up as we have to support great little business like this so they will be there in the future. There are so few fish and chip shops that are using Australian fish and this one is off their own trawler whenever they can. And according to the friendly staff this is their second shop, the original is on Bribie island.

Shop was clean and tidy, friendly greeting from staff, prices were very reasonable.Oil was fresh, chips were very well cooked. The fish was requested as grilled, both the Whiting and the Cod. Both were nicely done with a generous serve of limes and decent take away insulated tray for the fish. Myself and wife were delighted with all aspects of the service, price and quality of the meal.Thank you Tan and Thanh!
