Tour du Monde

The name is either Tout du monde or Tour du Monde, located on the boardwalk next to Moulin Blanc. There are many restaurants there but for the locals this is the best.

This place is buzzing inside and out - on the balcony, overlooking the marina. The waitress service is genuinely excellent - fast, friendly, polite, helpful and accurate. Fish and chips were beautifully done. I had two lots but couldn't manage all of the second portion despite my legendary propensity to devour obscene quantities of food. Good choice of beer and wine. A fun, lively night out.

Located on sea promenade in Brest restaurant offer small choice of dishes in good quality but in little high prices. We have a lunch and a diner there during my stay in Brest and generally we where very happy besides of the duck which was not the best one. Generally the fishes win. The staff is helpful but its English is weak and there is no English menu. Recommended.

Meal - Dinner/Supper with two kids. Wine- a little pricey. The preparation, quality, selection and quantity were very good. We were two adults and two children. The children's menu was 9.50/child (steak hache or fish with Frite). The €26 menu with entree, main and dessert was a great value and nice selection. The down side was that there was a considerable delay between the delivery of our kids' meals and ours (thankfully theirs was first and we had had our appetisers). However, they were done eating their meal when ours arrived. No apology or mention of the delay - our plates were very hot and there was a "skin" on our sauces, so we knew they had been under the heat lamps. Our kids were in a good mood and entertained by their books, not a big deal this time.Quality of the food was good. Small menu, which guaranteed fresh food.

This restaurant has a very good appearance, the staff are well dressed and polite, the service is of quality but, the food lacks the wow factor. we had starters, main and cafe gourmond. 116euros for two with 1/2 bottle of wine and a bottle of plancoet. The starters king prawns butterfly style and foi gras were ok, the mains of fish were very average, my substitute for the john dory with was dry and the cooked foi gras was very "wet".The cafe gourmond was again average with the gateau breton chocolate not cooked in the centre.

Massive bowl of Moules to start....formidable. Then had the BBQ'd Fish. Some type of fish nicer than others but they were really nicely presented and enjoyed. My daughter had Moules too and the fish curry and enjoyed it too. Finally the Creme Brulee was magnifique.

Mai 8 , a french bank holiday! Almost all restaurant were closed. So we landed in Le crabe marteau ! Wrong choice! From the beginning to the end: We have been placed in front of the toilets even with the restaurant being half empty! It was clear the priority was focused on the futur clients. For example the waitress interrupted several time taking order for hanging on the phone! No menu card : So if you are an english spoken person no chances to get what you want !main course we chose langoustines ! Too much cooked, with no salt served with not hole made sauces !Terrible! At the end we paid 106 € for a bottle of wine some oysters and langoustines. If you have the choice avoid the crabe MarteauFor us it was clear : Never again
