Had a disappointing meal here to celebrate a elderly relatives birthday recently. We had certain expectations given the website, but the restaurant didnât really stack up to the image presented. There was loud music playing which made it difficult to chat (It was an 89th birthday!) and the restaurant was largely open to the elements which didnât help. The food was ok, with one dish being really good, but the overall service was also disappointing. (Long waits, meals served some time apart etc). The bill was also a surprise as the most expensive meal we had during a 2 week holiday in the area. Sadly, it just wasnât worth that in my book.

We went for dinner at the last day of our holiday in Lagos and wish we had discovered this gem of a restaurant earlier. All of our food was delicious - the veal carpaccio could not have been more tender, the melted cheeses were to die for, the sea bass âwith a twistâ was outstanding (as was the Steak) and the desserts were simply heavenly. Add to this the most charming and attentive service and a wonderfully relaxed yet professional atmosphere and you have the perfect experience - we can not recommend this place highly enough and hope to be back some day! Great family meal and well taken care of by the staff. Son in law and I shared the Cataplana and had no complaints. The others had fish dishes and similarly enjoyed their meals. Great location overlooking the bay. Go try it out

We found this place on trip advisor and were delighted with our choice. I think it was Grill night or something similar, it was a Monday evening. There were fixed menus for 2 or 3 courses at â¬15.90 or â¬19.90 which included some really good food. Main course choices were a whole sea bass or steak or Piri Piri chicken or grilled swordfish. All really nice - there were 4 of us and we had all 4. Great service (the waiter could have been a little chirpier) but was a good evening

This restaurant is very good with attentive service and great food. You must try the "cataplana" Portuguese dish if you are a fan of seafood. It was moist and flavoursome and truly a highlight of our stay in Burgau.

This restaurant had a ton of Michelin recommendation stickers on its door. And for good reason.We were greeted upon arrival and escorted to a great corner table. The restaurant is tiny, and only seats 24 guests, of which all seats are full except for one table of two. Decor felt like I was sitting in someoneâs home. Very comfortable. Two of ordered classic Portuguese dishes and another ordered the lamb. The classic dishes were delicious. The lamb was a little over cooked for my friends taste, but still tasty. So if you like your lamb rare, you bets let them know. Desserts were delicious and they ended our meal with complimentary port. Service was attentive and friendly. One of the best meals we had in Portugal.

First visit to this restaurant in quite a while and was not disappointed. Really nice and well prepared food, very good atmosphere if just a little noisy. Staff helpful and service was professional. The monkfish Portuguese was really tasty and my guests were impressed by both the steak and kebab. Will be returning soon but booking is essential.
