Best menu with the most options, the new ordering system with the tablets works perfect and is very fast, the food is almost always good, there is always plenty of staff, the staff is nice, it is a nice atmosphere, there are only 2 negative things to say about this place but these are pretty big ones, that is why I only gave 3 stars.1. The drinks are way too expensive and so tiny. 2 doors down, you get twice the value for ordering drinks. Non-alcoholic AND alcoholic.2. The consistancy, the sushi is always the same, but all the other dished vary in quality, portion size, flavors and even sauces. The dish you liked the last time you were here? It is gonna be completely different today, maybe even different flavors or sauces. Hell, maybe today they will just serve it without sauce?!Because of this, I do not come her anymore, even though it is my favorite sushi place in Almere.Dear Cederic M,Thank you for your time for leaving a review. We are very pleased to hear that you have enjoyed your diner at out restaurant. About your feedback about the consistency of the portion and size of the dishes we discussed it in our group meeting. In the future we will pay more attention to it. The sauces and the flavors are everyday tested by our head chef. We find it very important that we will have the same quality in all our dishes. Hopefully we see you in the near future back in our restaurant and still be your favorite sushi place in Almere.
Yours sincerely,

Delicious Greek food and generous portions. The restaurant has been renovated, is quite large! The owner/ manager loves speaking Greek to his customers...or to himself, and his English is good too. Home made food, but a pity they heated the feta-spinach rolls up in the microwave. House wine tasty.

Small menu but very tasteful food with excellent wines (over 20 wines on the wine menu)! Not the cheapest in Almere Haven but certainly value for money. Very nice location with good harbour view. Small restaurant run by the owners (no chain formula) with very good food. Make sure you make a reservation.

The View seems to take standard foods such as steak or chicken and give them a slightly more exciting twist - whilst still being suitable for fussy eaters like myself. In my opinion 'The View' is the best restaurant in Almere as the food is always delightful, the service is friendly and welcoming and the view from the windows is an added benefit.

Went out for a meal with my husband, my sister and my brother-in-law. My sister suggested Pallas Athene. The food was absolutely fantastic. Had the gamba & garlic starter; main the Acropolis dish, consisting of grilled chicken, lamb rack, gyros and bifteki (with subtle mint and a feta filling) and of course some lovely tzatziki. For dessert I had the chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream.Every dish was full of flavours; clearly made with love for food.I will definitely be returning and can highly recommend going to this restaurant.Very attentive staff and owner, relaxee atmosphere. Free parking.

Take away in Almere Buiten is very good. The babi pang gang is lovely and crisp.Restaurant in Almere Haven: food is good. Seating is too cramped and lighting is awful - no attempt to create some atmosphere and way too bright. Service seemed rushed and impersonal. Too expensive on a weekend for what you get to my opinion. €33,- for All you can eat, which means 2 dishes per round and though portions are a bit bigger, it's far less than the average of 5 per round at about 28 euros on weekend, that you get here at other places. I was invited, I'd not go there if I was choosing the restaurant.

My colleagues and I enjoyed a lovely meal at the Van Der Valk hotel. It was a works meal with a mixture of colleagues. I enjoyed the scallops starter, which was huge and the Seabass with sweet potato as the main. Both courses were very good. One of my colleagues main meals were delayed because the waitress misunderstood the order which was a shame as his meal came out considerably later than everyone else’s but he enjoyed it all the same. On the whole the service was good and prompt. We did have to ask for additional drinks and the bill, service was not offered, but it’s no biggie. We enjoyed the evening.

Brasserie Bakboord

With three terraces on the water, overlooking "Het Gooimeer" and situated in the little harbour of Almere Haven, this restaurant is s unique location in Almere. Brasserie Bakboord is open for 7 days a week from 11AM till 10:30PM. You are more than welcome

We opted for starter and main course. The food was quite good however, for the price you pay it probably is not worth it. For example starters: around 15 Euros for 1 scallop, or 13 Euros for 4 Shrimps. For Mains the quality of the meat was very good. The Tuna dish however didn't seem to work with the vermicelli. So all in all an average experience.Dear Qasim,Thank you for your review. Sorry to read that in your opinion some dishes are overpriced. The scallop dish with risotto, cauliflower, parmesan and hazelnut. One scallop is on top of the risotto, the other is cutted into small pieces and mixed with the risotto. There is a difference in price of fresh scallops we using or scallops from the fridge or in a glass jar. Fresh scallops are expensive in this season. The other dish of Gamba, melon, parsley, popcorn and curry, we use the bigger gamba’s off high quality which cost more than average scrimp. All dishes are made using the freshest seasonal and where possible, sustainable ingredients. This means that it can have an impact on the price we have to pay to our supplier and the selling price. The tuna dish and the vermicelli didn't work together. I respect your personal opinion in this. See you next time in Brasserie Bakboord.
