We have now come several times in a row. And it is for sure one of the best food levels restaurant I've seen in a long time, internationally. You can tell that the owner really really knows food. That it's a passion. The Christmas buffet last night was just amazing. So funny because you can actually hear other customers saying "mm" like us. We have also been there for brunch and that was just amazing. I would for sure say this is the best place in Lund. Which also means you should make a reservation.

I had no clue that this little pearl is hidden just outside Lund. It is just in the middle of...nowhere where one would think there should be a nice restaurant!The atmosphere is very cosy, the service impeccable and the food definitely interesting. Maybe a little bit too pricey for a lunch though, considering also that one has to drive a bit for reaching the place.I took the vegetarian option and the tastes that were fitting together in harmony, both color wise but especially taste wise.I was though a little bit hungry still despite the meal, but it could have simply been that the food was good and I could have eaten more.I would have though expect more choices from the lunch menu. Hope I can return to it again soon, I'd like to explore what can be offered a bit more!

Small place with a few seats, only open for lunch. 4 different choices, using local produce as much as possible. All come with fantastic, local bread, a bit too small portion of olive tapenade and a little too heavy garlic butter to the slices of bread. Soups have amazing flavours, and are rich in content, not just a bowl of broth.Liked not only the food, but also the owners way of treating customers. Will go back here for sure.

I was visiting my daughter, who lives in Lund and she wanted to go to Bistro Gambrinus for a dinner. The food and wine was superb and the staff friendly. My daughter ordered their famous huge shrimp sandwich, but I prefer meat, so I took a delicious entrecote. Gambrinus/Grand Hotel It is a little old fashion in a nice way. You sit in a glazed-in restaurant, so you can see out at the people and they can see you.

Celebrating a family members anniversary, we are 5 including three kids. Picking from interesting menu but unfortunately if taking set menus everyone at the table has to take the same, not great for a family, not great for a business dinner either. Food good to very good both interesting as as ideas and well prepared. However soooooo slooooow.

Had an excellent experience with friends here. A vibrant place, but yet calm enough to have a good dinner, great atmosphere.Had a chanterelle sandwich for starter and my god was that the best ever? Perfectly cooked with great add ons.Tenderloin as main course and it was cooked to perfection, just like I wanted it.Great wine to that, fun and service minded staff and you have a perfect dinner with friends.

I really enjoyed my lunch at Matrummet. The environment is beautiful, with the charm of old details from the railway house, the iron beams or the bricks. The atmosphere is elegant and calm, it is sophisticated but not too posh neither too modern. The waitress welcomed us telling us the menu, the daily and the green choice. I took the daily. While waiting for it we got some nice bread to be dipped in olive oil and a celery soup. The soup could have had a little bit more of taste but it was tasty, light and original with the roasted buckwheat. The daily was pork belly side, with a crunchy skin. I usually find that too hard to chew on, but this was alltogether giving a nice bite to the meat. Some roasted parsnip, potatoes and a nice horseradish to garnish were served together in a light sauce. The dish was delicate, not too strong in flavour, but beautifully cooked. It looked a small portion, but it was perfect to make me feel full.Included in the meal it goes coffee and a small dessert. This was a small sponge cake with some cream on top which did its job.I am curious to see what more this restaurant can deliver. The price was definitely not student price, but considering the service and the attention to the details it was worthy.Dear AriannaWhat a wonderful review to read! Lovely treat for Sunday afternoon of Scandinavian food. The buffet set along the bar contained several varieties of smoked salmon, picked herrings and potato salads. The restaurant looks out on the museum art garden .. a very quiet place to relax and enjoy the food. Our one fault was the dessert part of the buffet wasnât very comprehensive. Overall, the staff was attentive and welcoming. For a Sunday in Lund, it is one of the only top-rated restaurants open. Included in your brunch price is entry into the museum. For a quick walk around after brunch, it is amusing.

Centrally located near the cathedral this is a very good choice for lunch/ dinner. The food is good, the selection is wide and the service is professional. If u like fish - go for it
