We sometimes go to Viherlandia Eeden restaurant for a lunch. There is a good selection of fresh salads and home baked fresh bread in buffet, tasty day´s soup and two main dishes to choose (also in buffet, but nothing special). Dessert and coffee are included. Reasonable prices: 8.00⬠- 14.90â¬.

Located in historical wooden building near city centre. Excellent service and high-quality lunch buffet with reasonable prices. Coffee/tea and small dessert always included. Not for vegans, but almost every time there is some sort of vegetarian option (usually soup and a salad table) available. Suiteble for families with small children also. My favorite place for lunch in Jyväskylä.

I organised my birthday lunch in Vesilinna restaurant for my family and friends; we had planned the menu and all the details far before the event together with the restaurant manager and everything went according to the plan.The food was excellent, wines accorded perfectly (a large choice of wines, including owner's own wines) and the birthday cake, a strawberry one, was delicious!of course the view from the restaurant is great and gives a good idea of the surroundings, especially for foreigners for the first time in Jyvaskyla.Thank you for your visit! The place has good selection of different fillings to the pancakes. The taste is good, and the pancake is filling. One can replace a light meal easily. Service is friendly. In the afternoon there was room in the restaurant, the closer the time was to 4 pm the more growded it became. So go early if you have the chance.

We ordered fantasy (4 fillings, 8,5â¬) normal pizza which was huge, suitable for two people. Pizza was thin and juicy, more moisture than italian style pizza, but great taste. Salad table and waters were included and coffee, too.Our friends ordered kebab portions (äijä kebab and chicken kebab), huge too. Those looked and tasted (they said) excellent. Actually we went there because of friends recommendations. Great deal, very popular! (Hard to get a table sometimes)

Located by the lake this place has great views. Interior and terrace are decorated nicely. Nice music and atmosphere overall. Ok walking distance away from city centre.Good burger to put it plain and simple. Only thibg I would change is to make the burger (beef) a bit thicker so you could have it as medium. Salads looked nice as well. Friend had a gluten free bun and said it was good also.Definitely recommending this place during summertime.

This was our last meal in Jyvaskyla before traveling on to Turku on our Finnish tour. We were eager to find out about this restaurant with so many good reviews. We did not have a reservation, so had to wait in the bar area a bit, but were seated by a friendly hostess and immediately introduced to our server. The menu was supplemented by a long list of daily specials recited by our server. Our party of four tried four different entrees, all of which were delicious. It was a memorable last meal in this friendly Finnish city.

At lunchtime, the salad table was pretty fine. There are several main meal choices for lunch. Option fish was tasty and reasonably big dose. Restaurant facilities clean and comfortable.Restroom facilities clean. You should come and eat more often.

Very delicious dinner and friendly service. We were a group of three friends and had a three-course menu (not recommended but chosen from the carte). All enjoyed a lot of each course. Would definietly visit again, highly recommendable. The fifth star is for the suprise to find such a place from Jyväskylä, in Helsinki or in Stocholm would rate with four stars. Anyhow, should be listed the Bib Gourmande if not (yet).

I went here together with some of my Finnish collegues for dinner as my first visit to Finland. They told me it was very famous for their kitchen and I can see why. We had a three course meal and it was very tasteful. Fresh ingredienst made in a simple Nordic way. We had white aspargus as a starter and a white lake fish as a main course. Made to perfection and with good quality. We also got a wine suggestion which was a good match and the service overall was good. You could also go with the set menus or mix between the different menus. A nice feature. The restaurant itself could maybe had a little done on the interior and comfort side, but it was overall good. If going back to Jyvaskyla I would eat here again
