Manager was excellent, friendly and very willing to assist. Waiter was fantastic - even with the size of the group (21 people), he coped excellently and was always around when he was needed. The food was awesomely mouthwateringly fantabulous. Thank you everyone for a super experience, I will definitely come back when I am in the area again and recommend your place to everyone.

Notties Hotel and its wood-panelled pub (often with a roaring fire in cool days) is a legend and a must-visit if you are in the KZN Midlands. Food is excellent and the atmosphere relaxed. Plenty of space for kids in the gardens, and it is dog-friendly too!

We had an indulgent feast at Country Market. A lovely fire and interesting menu. We had the Rösti with poached eggs and leaks, a lovely Belgian beef stew and delicious cheesecake and a brownie. All recommended. Service a bit slow/ uninterested but friendly. We were the only people in the place.

Rawdons Boars’ Head Pub and Restaurant

Rawdons pub and restaurant offers hearty pub cuisine and other delectable dishes. We also offer a brewery experience with an outdoor deck, offering some snacks, craft beer and craft gin.

We stopped off for Sunday lunch whilst wandering around the midlands meander. All waiters were unsmiling, unfriendly, service was non-existent and the roast lunches were really awful and we left most uneaten. The only redeeming factor was the craft brewery on the adjacent premises and the ales brewed there were served at The Boar's Head. Although this particular meal was a disaster we have been before and the service and food was good. Will hesitate to go back though.
