Had the opportunity to catch a meal at the Vista. Four adults and 2 children sat outside overlooking the beautiful grounds. Service was excellent for our table, however I could see some difficulty with other tables and a different waitress. Food was served hot and drinks were served cold. The waitress was attentive and competent. This was an extremely busy atmosphere on a Friday night and I was impressed with our level of service and the quality of food.

Have been for lunch and dinner a few times now. The food has always been very good, and it's nice to be able to sit outside on the river. They're very popular, and busy especially on the weekends, but it's pleasant waiting at the bar for a table.

I do like The Brickyard although I cannot come to terms giving it four stars. The service has been efficient but not overwhelming and the food is decent enough but does not really pop out to me. The menu is however very vast in choices and should have something for everyone. It was a nice place to catch a game on Sunday and pricing is beyond fair so I could go 3 1/2 stars just not four. When they first opened years ago it was a definite four but lost some of the oomph it once had.

This is the place to go in Saratoga Springs for a good (huge!) burger and cold beer. I like the IPA ales.....Obviously popular with the locals.Hint; there is a 2 story free parking garage right next door; we didn't have trouble finding parking on 2 different evenings.

Food was decent not great. Bartenders very attentive. Wait for our meal was quite long well over 35 minutes..For quisadeas. High energy and high noise local favorite.

We never heard of the place all though we live ten minutes away and now understand why. There was a singer and her band that we enjoy that were playing there so we headed over. We went early to eat and asked where the band set up so we were in good view and the bartender said :We have a band tonight?: Then told us they set up in that corner or over there and pointed to the back of the place which was empty. We just decided to eat at the bar then figure it out. She poured our beers, note they call it a tap house but close to all cheap domestics, a Sam Adams and couple run of the mill IPA`s. Then turned to talk o her drunk friend. We had to holler to get her attention for menus. She brought them and said they were just redone and the food was delicious. The menu was basically bar food minus any flare. Now another bartender walked in and said he specialized in gourmet pizza and it was the best around and the drunk girl echoed her wholeheartedly. So we opted for pizza and extra crispy wings which both bartenders also bragged about. We place our order about 6:30 At seven the wings came out and they were breaded which I always say you should be told in advance and over breaded to the max. She said the pizza would be right up never asking if we would like our empty beers refilled. The wings were soggy and not cooked through at all. another friend walked in and we finally got the other bartender to get us some beers. The pizza finally came out close to 8:00 and half the wings were still there and she said oh good you saved room for the pizza, can I wrap them for you and my buddy said no the were a bit soggy and undercooked and she just said sorry about that and took them away. After almost an hour and a half we were served a pizza with an almost raw dough, undercooked sausage, burnt pepperoni and wilted arugula. I am not sure how they pulled off that disaster. We ate some of the cheese and pepperoni off the top and my friends daughter who also ate the wing flats because he said they were more cooked ate a full slice. When we mentioned the pizza she said yeah the cook was having technical difficulties and she would not charge us for the toppings. I just shook my and watched the band. I don`t make scenes I write reviews. After watching an excellent set and finding it almost impossible to get service we decided to head out. The band brought maybe 30 people and the bar had maybe ten including us and there was no table service and the barmaid cared more about chatting with the five or six regulars on the far side of the bar with their regulars or friends. If this place is open next year I will be shocked! Sorry about the winded review however I could of wrote a book on the disaster Governor`s Taproom is.

The Mill on Round Lake is a good place to go if you want to eat outside on a nice summer night. Pub food is all that's on the menu. Wings, wraps, salads and burgers...etc. Nothing special, but a fun evening.

Nice atmosphere, good draft selection, wife's burger was very good, as was my Quesadilla. Fries were about as good as we've had. Restroom was clean.

My husband and I drove around the Lake to discover this place. We pulled over and the view was beautiful and swung in to get a drink. Pleasantly surprised and they were closing due to a private party at 6pm, we got there at 5pm. They didnt' throw us out as there were at least 12 people there all having drinks in adirondack chairs taking in the view. The bar tender was excellent. Good local brews and when the private party showed up they didn't kick us out, just shut down the bar at 6pm or so. Beautiful sunny warm day to sit and have a drink. Nice fire pit, wasn't ' in use but the landscaping was very nice. We'd go back and maybe next time stay for dinner or lunch. One of the few places that was open around the lake others were seasonal. This place had entertainment in the fall, flyers on the wall, nice bar area, etc. Can't go wrong.
