It is served by Junction 25 of the M62 motorway and Brighouse railway station on the Caldervale Line and Huddersfield Line. In the town centre is a mooring basin on the Calder and Hebble Navigation. I have reviewed here before and give it 5 stars. Maybe this particular day was an off day. We came for the carvery. It was the first time we had and I have to say, unimpressed. The meat was hard work. We left most of it. We couldn't cut it (beef) and we chewed it for what felt like forever. The rest was ok but nothing to write home about. I think we will stick to your regular menu from now on. That is worthy of 5 stars. Service wasn't as good as it usually is. We had to hunt for a member of staff so we could pay. We ended up paying at the bar. We didnt make a complaint as the bar staff were very busy. We wont be back on a sunday sadly. But we will be back on other days for the regular menu for top notch grub.

The Brown Horse at Coley is always excellent. Pleasant staff and delicious food. We went as a party of 10, all had different things but all said they were delicious. Iâve been at lunch times and evenings, and itâs just as good on each occasion.

We came last Sunday 3rd November myself, my partner and are 3 kids. We all the Sunday roast dinner which was absolutely gorgeous. We were served by Josh who was very polite and was on the ball at all times. Highly recommended the restaurant.

We visited for the 1st time on Sunday 4th August & absolutely loved it. Brilliant staff, superb food & great prices, we even had something, due to a fussy eater, that wasn't on the menu! Will definately be returning, loved it, well done to all.

A pub/restaurant with a large carpark, which is easily accessed. A smallish eating area in a pub environment, The staff are friendly and attentive with cheery dispositions. A range of dishes are available. What we had to eat was well cooked and presented. A vairety of dishes, with a vegetarian meze to share as a starter. The halibut steak, Hunters chicken and wexford steak were excellent. The house wine, both red and white were a very good adjunct to the meals. The staff were obliging and nothing was too much trouble.

Firstly can I say that the staff here are friendly and the menu is varied and the main meals we had were very tasty. The problems we encountered however seem to be common in that various meals on the menu were not in stock or available, so we had to look at alternatives. Our two desserts were nice but Luke warm not hot and again desired items were not available, so the pub lost out on starter orders and dessert orders.I was disappointed as we had friends over from America who wanted a traditional English pub meal with certain items that were on the menu but as mentioned not available. We also waited around an hour to get our food served even though we had reserved a table, there needs fo be improvements to tempt us back.

I live within 20 minutes walking distance of the Dusty. Although there are other places nearer it is still my favourite pub for a drink. The place always appears busy (both inside and out when it is sunny). Homely feel inside. Little added touches making you feel welcome. Toilets clean. Bar staff friendly. Been there when they have had turns on. Well organised.The food always appeared popular, but until last night I had not eaten there before. There were six of us booked in for early evening. We could not fault the place. The food was excellent value for money and of good standard, with a good choice. It was very busy but this did not interfere with the service. Later it became even busier (if possible) with a quiz night. This began after the food had ended. Apart from friends having to drive back we were tempted to stay even longer. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back either as a group or with others. Where else can you go with these surroundings and have a good meal for £5 upwards.Good Afternoon Dorothy SWhat a title for your review!! Whilst staying at the nearby Premier Inn, ate at the Old Mill on three consecutive nights, trying different dishes each night. Food was good with generous portions. Individual staff allocated to serve your table and look after you. Thanks Jamie for looking after our party.

We stayed at The Black Horse for one night, and were very impressed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room we had was large, clean and comfortable, and the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. Service at the meals was exceptional, the young guy (Damien?) was superb. The main building is old so there is a bit of creaking when people move around but it isnât too bad and didnât disturb us.
