I visited for lunch mainly due to the location; it is 100 metre from the Hilton Hotel. It was full of locals (which is a good sign) and was very full. However whilst the staff were friendly and helpful it took ages for my pizza to arrive whilst locals who came after ate and left. The pizza was Ok and the price was very cheap, 10 euroâs for a pizza and beer. I would return if I didnât fancy a walk into the centre

This is a great place for having a lunch. The meal was wonderful. We have eaten the plate of starters for 2 persons- very big and very tasty, regional specialityThe service was very good, a young waiter was very kind and helpful. Fully recommend this place when you are in Lecce.

We had to wait a while for a table (must get a number from staff), but not too long as the tables turnover fairly quickly. Nice atmosphere outdoors by a church court yard, no inside seating. We had the margherita and the diavola, both were delicious, nice char on the crust but still chewy. The staff is very efficient and the value is outstanding at 20⬠for the two of us, including beer and wine! We will be back as we are in Lecce for a month and nearby!

My wife and I have holidayed all over Italy and we both agreed that La Gigante served pizzas that were as good as we have eaten anywhere. Light and thin pizza dough with fantastic toppings at a great price. We ate here the night before we set off for our 4 day cycling trip around the Salentino and because it was so good we returned on our first night back in Lecce . Great selection of local beers and a good house wine, I had to thank the owners and the pizzaiolo as we left, fantastic.

We walked by this pizza location on our way to our hotel. There were several people in line waiting to be served so we thought we would try it ourselves. We were certainly pleased that we stopped. The pizza was delicious with many types to try. The pizza is sold by weight, so you can try a few different options. The staff is very friendly. We went there on 2 occassions and the female who served us was very pleasant and spoke very good English. They place the pizza on a wooden board that you can take to sit on a bench in the front of the restaurant. Wine is 1⬠a glass Highly recommended.

Abbiamo prenotato un tavolo x sabato sera in questo posto perché colpiti dalle foto e dalle varie recensioni...Locale nuovo, abbastanza camerieri per i numeri di tavoli a disposizione, arredamento fatto con cura danno un buon tocco di accoglienza..Ordiniamo 1 coca coca in bottiglia (4,50 euro), 1 birra nera peroni (4 euro) 2 antipasti di cui uno fritto misto (6,50) e uno con capocollo bufala e pizza fritta (12 euro) 3 pizze bufale...Servizio veloce e gentile, cibo buono un po' delusi dalle pittule e dalla pizza (anche se buona ma non la vera napoletana)Prezzi giusti per alcune voci e esagerato per altre tipo la coca coca e per l'antipasto di pizza fritta con 4 fettine di mozzarella e 9di capocollo...Insomma la pizza da migliorare se si vuole arrivare alla classica napoletana e diminuire alcuni prezzi perché esagerati.. Personalmente non tornerò xke a meno km ho nelle vicinanze pizze migliori..

We visited here two times during our stay in Lecce. We were lucky enough to find a table outside where we enjoyed a beer while my husband went in to order the pizza. All credit to the guys inside who told us that a full pizza would be too big for two persons....they were totally right! They produced our perfect pizza and the proportions were exactly right. Great food, cold beer and an honest approach to customer service. Thank you!Ciao Cat, our work involves passion and this passion guides us in trying to make those who come to see us feel good, being honest is an essential prerogative if we want to try to be always better, we are happy you found yourself well, we hope that in your next trip in Lecce you want to come back again to see us, because as they say, there is no two without three.
