We are frequently visiting the ski resort in Obereggen. We always liked the restaurant Platzl. The service is excellent and very family friendly. The pizza is simply great and the best is its really fast served. The prices for standard food is reasonable. The restaurant is a good alternative to the huts alongside the slopes. The cappuccino and espressos are authentic Italian like. You can't go wrong if you stick to the local delights.

The wait staff and management at this restaurant is very welcoming and tries very hard to bridge language gaps. We were treated kindly and well. Upon being greeted and seated, you feel as though this could become your home-away-from home for dinner and drinks. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the food. We enjoyed the pizza on several nights, and the pasta dishes and Caprese are very good. The atmosphere is unpretentious, there are lots of tables, and there is a large free parking lot. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We had lunch last week with a group of 8 people ordering different meals (as you would expect with a group of different people). We had a terrible time waiting. Two kids had their meals very fast (within 10 minutes). The people ordering pizza and bruschetta had to wait for over 45 minutes. The meals were fine but the service was horrible, the waitress didn't bother to inform us and showed an irritated face when we asked how long we needed to wait for the meals.

The food was not great - a salad tasted like it had been made from tinned tuna rather than fresh food. Service was very slow and then the waiter arrived with the wrong number of drinks. Its a beautiful building with frescoes on the outside, well located near the market but avoid.

Others have commented on the pizza so I will add my opinion that it was some of the best on our Italy trip. But we tried a pasta dish too and found that excellent. I also appreciated the Weihanstephaner hefeweissbier on tap. Great experience!

We have seriously struggled to find a good pizza in the area. In the last day we have come across this little gem that is well hidden and it is outside of town. The place is really nice and cosy with open fire, the service is really nice and very helpful and the pizza is second to none. The proprietor was there to give us a very nice and warm welcome. You can tell the chef is a proud man and every pizza was a masterpiece! Symphony of flavours, well cooked and well presented.The place is opened from 11-22 o'clock, which is highly welcomed as many places close during the day and you may struggle to find something that is opened. The place is set in beautiful setting between Latemar and Rosegarten, and it is the first place when you turn into Nigerstrasse, to drive the Nigerpass. The prices are reasonable too. The pizzas are circa 15 inches wide and most of them cost 7-8 euros. The Tiramisu was also the best I have eaten and this is ever not just in the area. This is the best place to eat, and if you are in the area then pop in, you will not be dissapointed.

Pizzeria Kupferkanne has the best pizza in Carezza. The crust is perfect and the sauce and toppings are very tasty. The pizzeria has seating both inside and outside, and the inside is very warm and welcoming. Max and Jacky are very nice and friendly, and the service is excellent. The pizzeria is also kid-friendly. We definitely recommend it!

Ate at the Hennenstall with a group. We all enjoyed it. They specialize in grilled meats, so come hungry. They cook everything on an indoor fire inside the restaurant. There are a few pasta and pizza choices on the menu, but I would not go there. We shared mixed salads and grilled vegetables (excellent), then everyone chose their own meat dish. The grilled venison was especially good -- very tasty and not as gamey as most venison so that I have eaten.
