2nd visit to this rejuvanated pub only called in because we had such a terrible afternoon tea just across the road at the donington manor hotel which I would not recommend. The castle pub is very vibrant and has a good mix of clientele nice selection of beers the food we four had was excellent no complaints from anyone.The young staff are very polite and very hardworking we still didn't see the much admired roof terrace as we were enjoying ourselves in the bar maybe on our 3rd visit we will check it out.I would highly recommended a visit to this lovely pub I just wish I lived nearer.Top Mark's to all the Staff you are very good at what you do.please don't change

Absolutely brilliant little find a good pint well priced great atmosphere, even better was the fact they had a coal/log fire burning which added to the whole feel of the pub, went in the two evenings we stayed in the area different girls on each night but both were lovely and welcoming keep up the good work Torey and Becky

We visited as quite a large group (12) for dinner. They weren't quite ready for us when we arrived so we had to wait, however there is quite a charming courtyard outside where we were able to get a drink. We were seated quite quickly. The menus reminded me more of a café than a restaurant in their feel but seemed to have something for everyone. I went for pizza which was ok but my colleagues dinners looked nicer. The staff were very good and looked after us well. All in all it was ok.
