Not sure why this place isn't rated higher... in part, I think because it is not as well known. The location can't be beat - beautiful terrace overlooking the plain below Mattinata with a charming garden next to the Junno area of town. Food is very nice with a few inventive touches and is very reasonably priced. Our children wanted pizza but we had the fried baccala' and the lamb skewers. The family who runs it is extremely nice, as well. Definitely recommended... particularly given the amazing view!

Nice sea view and quality of food is quite good. Service is a little slow, but when you have your drink and perfect sea picture - you can wait additional 15-20 minutes. Panini is the best in Mattinata ) visit it several times during our stay in Mattinata and were always welcomed by the staff.

One of our most positive dining experiences in Puglia. We randomly selected this restaurant and were very happy with it. The service was very friendly and helped us (no English though) select very satisfying dishes including excellent fish and seafood spaghetti. The meat (veal cuts a la pizzaiola) were very decent as well. We finished it with one of the best tiramisu ever. The whole bill amounted to ca. â¬50, I believe (including water and coperto)On a less positive side the decor was not exactly to our liking, but that's obviously a matter of personal esthetics.Overall, we would definitely recommend this restaurant! The presence of quite a few local families confirms our opinion.

Hi,We were desparately searching for sth. to eat at 3pm. Fortunately the restaurant kept open for us. We had 2x pizza und 1x Orecchiette with seafood and baby zucchhine. All was very good. Great restaurant for a quick family lunch. Nevertheless, cleanliness of the tables could improve.

This review is slightly biased as I visited this restaurant while I was vegan and my friend with me is vegetarian, which greatly limited our menu choices. The view from this restaurant was breathtaking and it is within 50m from the beach. The pizze we ordered were ok, and looking around there are pretty good-looking seafood dishes. Upon learning that we are vegan/vegetarian the staff was not extremely helpful and we do feel a bit neglected service-wise (but they also have a busy dinner service).

This is a really super restaurant just off the main street in Mattinata. The tables are spread along a quiet street and also up the steps toward the main street. The owner, Luigi is a lovely man who is genuinely delighted to welcome customers new and old. The food is excellent, generous portions at very reasonable prices. The restaurant is popular with Italians as well as visiting foreigners so reserve or be prepared to wait for a table at peak times. We ate here 3 times and each time was superb.

Great local pizzeria... excellent prices, particularly on the various pizze. Also liked their selection of beers. Outside seating makes for good people watching in a busy little corner that picks up as the night goes on.

The ambient was perfect. When we arrived, a beautiful table was given to us. First we ate âbruscettaâ-s which were also good...For main dish we took ravioli with cream made out of shrimps. Ravioli were nice, but cream was a little bit bland.We also ordered spagetti alle vongole: spagetti were overcooked and the selfish waiter was trying to prove us wrong.At the end, we ate cake made out of ricota cheese and chocolate that was very poor and hiddeous.The only thing that was very nice was limonchello at the end.
