Tuesday 5pm dinner. Mussels special was prepared to our specification (no milk or cream) - large satisfying portion and delicious. Arugula salad with goat cheese, apple slices and red onions - generous portion & not at all bitter as some arugula can be. Service excellent. At that time of day the place was quiet - we sat at the table left of entrance looking out on the sidewalk âparadeâ of interesting locals going about their business. Leisurely dinner lasted over 2 hours.

I had a spinach pinwheel, which was burnt black, and a tuna in a pita with a salad. The salad was fresh, the tuna was good, it had small chunks of celery and carrots. Im not sure what the tuna was dressed with because there didnt seem to be any mayonnaise.The pita was more like a large flat bun than a pita. It was very good but a lot heavier than a typical pita pocket. I didnt mind because it was cold out and I was about to go snowshoeing so the calories were welcome. Wish we found this place sooner. I will be returning on my next visit to Vermont

I popped into Hoagieâs after skiing up at Jay Peak all day and needed some good hot food. I certainly found it here. Sat up at the bar where I could get the full menu. Settled on a house salad and a giant bowl of cheese tortellini with diced chicken and tomatoes in a pesto cream sauce. It was all devoured in 5 minutes and it was heaven. Staff is very helpful and the whole atmosphere is incredibly friendly. Menu is very large with lots to choose from. Enjoy!
