We went for lunch and had pizzas and lasagne. The lasagne (not homemade) was very small, not even half of a normal portion. Pizzas had good size but bad ham. Prices were high.They only accepted cash - no cards.

Neapolitan-style pizza, which means âthe-real-thingâ. Perfectly done and delicious. The only ânegativeâ thing about this place is that itâs just outside (really, a matter of steps away) Visbyâs main square, so you almost feel that you are missing that special mood just by a little, but itâs not the restaurantâs fault. The view of the ruins is still impressive, at least if you sit outside. I havenât tried them all, but, thinking of Swedish standards, Iâd be surprised if this were not the best pizza-place in Visby.

We've been visiting Isola Bella (and it's other location by the sea in Snäck and now also in Gnisvard) for many years. The food is consistently delicious. And the staff, along with the owner who is always present, are friendly and unflappable, even when the place is fully booked and every table occupied. The location in the center of Visby is charming. And the interior exposed ancient brick walls, along with the open kitchen, only adds to the charm. In summertime outdoor dining is possible too.

This evening the restaurant only served pizza. They were well-prepared, the sauce on the spicy side. However they did not live up to the prices charged.

The pizzas are baked from scratch in this tiny kiosk on the shore of the Baltic Sea. You can eat on the small terrace in front, and enjoy the tasty result while taking in the awesome view of the Small and Large Karlso Islands. The closest one is only about a half hour away by ferry from Klintehamn harbor. You can top off your meal with an ice cream from a large selection.
