This port city of about 275,000 on Spain’s north coast began 3,000 years ago as a fishing village. Today it’s a departure point for regional cruises, making it busy in summer (and making us wonder what those ancient fisherman would have thought of cruise ships). The original village, Cimadevilla, with its narrow, cobblestone streets, draws many tourists, and Cerro de Santa Catalina park at the tip of Cimadevilla’s peninsula provides great coastal views.

Urban italian food. Specialties in focaccia, pizzas and Craft beer (local and homemade). The best place to eat authentic Italian food.
Sitio pequeño pero si tienes la suerte de tener una mesa las pizzas que preparan están espectaculares. Los camareros son muy agradables sin duda es un sitio al que hay que ir de vez en cuando.

We visited twice during our recent trip to Gijon. This is a small, no frills restaurant that was close to our hotel. We had read the good reviews and were really glad we checked it out. Pasta was excellent (phenomenal lasagne) and really lovely pizza too. Absolutely brilliant value for money and run by a lovely Italian couple.

Volvimos la semana pasada, genial como siempre. Comida y trato esquisito. Tanto el menú como el resto,,,, pasta, fondue, carnes, menú, postres, en fin para un montón de amigos y familiares la mejor Pizeria que conocemos.

Italian food to pick up. Artisan pizza, fresh pasta, specialties from different regions of Italy and typical desserts. 100% Home made.
Best pizza in the city. Nicest people and excellent atmosphere. High quality products and pizza is just delicious. We will be back in any case!! Thank you very much for your comments. They make us very happy and encourage us to continue striving to be better every day. Come back soon!!!

We went here after reading the reviews, we had to go three times before we eventually got a booking that suited us as it was always full. Make sure you book in advance. They encourage families with young children and seem to get them to make drawings which are then stuck up on the wall.I had a pizza which is my favourite, four cheeses which was very good but far too big to eat it all. My coeliac wife had a salad, also huge and probably a meal for three people in itself. She reported this as very good and they provided gluten free bread as well. They also had a selection of gluten free pasta.Overall a very pleasant experience. What makes it stand out though is the excellent value for money. Cheaper than most other places in the area and it was the best pizza for the price that I have had in Spain, so far.Happy to recommend and we will go back. If I had a criticism it would be that I would have liked to have seen a good seafood pizza on the menu.

We were the only customers for a 2 PM lunch in this small 8 table pizza, salad only establishment. With a Spanish only menu it was a little difficult to figure out the ingredients but a patient and cheerful waitress & chef showed us rather than described what was what.We shared an excellent salad, an especially thin crust pizza and a 2 glasses of local wine. Fairly priced, off the beaten path and worth a visit if you have salad & pizza in mind.
