Cividale del Friuli (Friulian: Cividât, German: Östrich, Slovene: Čedad) is a town and comune in the Province of Udine, part of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northern Italy. The town 135 metres (443 ft) above sea-level in the foothills of the eastern Alps, 15 kilometres (9 mi) by rail from the city of Udine and close to the Slovenian border. It is situated on the river Natisone, which forms a picturesque ravine here. Formerly an important regional power, it is today a quiet, small town that attracts tourists thanks to its medieval center.

We have decided on sea food dishes and tried spaghetti al frutti di mare and sude' misto. Spaghetti sauce was very rich and tasty. Sude' is made of mixed shells in a garlic and pepper sauce. Both dishes were very good. The waitress was extra kind and did her best to accomodate my food intolerance.

Ottima la pizza nella sua particolarità . Accoglienza familiare e servizio puntuale e preciso. Si mangia una pizza molto diversa rispetto a quelle che vengono di solito servite negli altri locali. Vale davvero la pena fare un giretto e provare di persona!

We enjoyed a casual meal and excellent wines by the glass at this outside cafe in the central square of the old town. The host Enrico is a charming and helpful guy who has a passion for fine wine and has a good selection of local whites and reds by the glass.He's also happy to provide suggestions for local sightseeing as well as directions to places of interest......and importantly ,advice on where to get good wine and food while you're enjoying the local culture, scenery and history. Highly-recommended.

We were wandering for Cividale, hoping to find something less touristy than what you would get elsewhere - we are Italians, so try to shy away from places that are not for locals - and we were not disappointed!The pizzas are very good and you can definitely see that the owners are putting a lot of effort and passion onto baking them. Not a tourist trap for sure: prices are in line with the kind and the quality of the food you are eating!The girl at the counter is really nice and approachable too if you want further explanations on the different kind of pizzas/focaccias you see displayed there.The business wants to be eco-friendly too, so it's well worth a visit for people trying to have a lower negative impact on the planet :-)Thanks a lot :) :) :)

We've always been attracted to the smaller family-owned restaurants in Chicago. Trattoria al Cavallino was a rare treat off the busy streets. This place served northern italian spaghetti sauce that my mother wished she'd made. It's not easy to find, nor is the seating spacious. The spaghetti and the margarita pizza, however, was worth the trip. We found it quite by accident while we were looking for where my parents lived on Via Bottego. Of course one can never go wrong with friulian white wines.

Good food well cooked ,very nice décor ,pleasant staff who made an effort to understand English. The wine was very nice, Not just a pizzeria this establishment also does a wide selection of local dishes and a good desert selection, It also has outside seating in a small square for when the weather is fine.

I must admit that I am verrrry picky when it comes to pizza, but Pizzeria da Vincenzo ticks all the boxes for me! Proper Italian pizza with fresh ingredients and tasty&crunchy base for a great price. Family run place with an excellent and above all incredibly fast service! A MUST STOP if you are in the area, I live about a half an hour drive from here and in spite of having various pizza places near home, I am more than willing to take a drive to Da Vincenzo! Recommend it all the way!

I always stop here to eat when in the area because their pizzas, and pasta dishes are well prepared. The last time I had an appetizer of pear involtini which literally melted in my mouth. Also, I could not decide which pasta dish to have so, Elina who has worked there for 11 years suggested I have a 1/2 order of each...un buon idea!! The food here is very good even though they are known for this pizzas. Grazziano's makes his own limoncello and it is the best!!
