The service was good, prompt, except they didnât bring my friends drink until part way thru her meal. I had the spaghetti meatballs, it was huge, too much spaghetti and it was ok but the meatballs had no flavour. I ate the meatballs and left three parts of the spaghetti. My friend had lasagna, just the lasagna arrived on the plate, no accompaniment and she said it was ok. Unlikely to return to this restaurant as it certainly not the best Italian Iâve eaten, or even close. Disappointed.

Really lovely date night out- great atmosphere and friendly, attentive service Beautiful bruschetta and zucchini flowers- would recommend both! Wood fired Pizza for the main- che stupido... potentially offensive sounding name but amazing pizza with fennel salami and chilli sausage.. delicious But not spicy for my meek chilli tolerance, beautiful crustPanna cotta was the winning dessert over the creme brûléSo many more yummy things on the menu- will definitely make a return visit!

Not being great chefs ourselves we reckon our versions of lasagna and creamy pasta are better than what we had. We found this spot off the beaten path after looking for a romantic restaurant to find a quiet dinner. It did not disappoint! The wine was amazing and the food was incredible. Definitely worth the cost.

We love this Italian restaurant, simply incomparable. We make a point coming every year ( 4 adults, and 5 kids) during our annual holiday, and are consistently impressed with the great service and amazing food. It's friendly, delicious, the right price, and served by really great people, what more could you possible want? - ohh, yes - singing, on the last occasion we received a free tiramisu for singing, our whole table loved this...

Bar Lago is my favourite restaurant. My partner and I frequently go to Bar Lago for a delicious, authentic Italian margarita pizza and the beautiful atmosphere. This hidden gem makes us feel like we are in Italy!
