Located on Moody Street in downtown Waltham, Charcoal Guido's goal is to give our guests a great dining experience in a fun, contemporary style restaurant. Enjoy our handmade gourmet pizzas, small plates, pastas made in house, charcuterie boards and entre
Spouse and I ate here with son his wife and 2 grandchildren; 10 yo girl & 13 yo boy. It was mostly the grandson (13 you.) who wanted to come here. The place is relatively small, with limited low seating tables â most are bar-high chairs & tables. The tables and chairs are close to each other and when I wanted to use the restroom I had to squeeze between chairs/tables etc. It is the noisiest restaurant I have ever been in and at one point during dinner I had to put my fingers in my ears to avoid the constant, overwhelming and annoying noise! Also the food choice is quite limited â mostly pasta with lots of cheese with other things (clams, lobster pieces, meat, etc.) on it- but very carbohydrate rich with sauces. I personally avoided all that and had a bowl of mussels â which were fine. We avoided desert because we wanted to leave the place and the noise. So the point is â when we are visiting son & family I will veto eating her ever again. It is NOT the place to go if you want to have a conversation without yelling to those across the table. UGH!

We are from out of town and needed an excellent pizza restaurant in Downtown Belmont. My wife went to Trip Advisor, and liked what she read.,We had a group of teenagers and younger kids plus adults. We ordered regular cheese pizza and it was delicious. Afterwards, our great server, Gene, informed me that they only use organic ingredients. You can tell the difference in the quality. He said they also have a multigrain crust and gluten free crust available. They have a good selection of beer and wine, and the staff is very friendly. We will be back when in town.

This is a family run trattoria style Italian restaurant. Food is authentic and well prepared. Antipasti include one of the better freid calmari dishes you will have anywhere. Pizzas are neopolitan with a thin tasty crust - sausage with broccoli rabe is a standout. Pasta are all well seasoned and interesting. For dessert do not miss the ricotta tort - granma's recipes. All this and free parking out back in Cambridge. What not to like!

This small restaurant, pizza shop has good service and good food. The pizza is a thin crust pizza. The salads are very fresh and very tasty. The Tuna Insalata and the Chicken Nicoise are my favorites.

My husband and I stopped in Pinocchios pizza after reading the reviews on trip advisor and from a blog. I love the thicker Sicilian pizza and this was delicious! I had a great combination of toppings, sauce and just the right crunch on that delicious crust. I would definitely go back for more and would recommend this if you were visiting Cambridge or Harvard University. Pizza sold by the slice or by the pie and they also sell pastas. Limited seating.

Been here several times looking for pizza. Well we found the pizza but the crust is moderately thick, Greek style and nothing really to recommend except the selection of cold beers. After years of eating pizza, I can say that I am looking for thin crust style pizza which Za doesn't serve. Unfortunately just another middle of the road restaurant that could certainly use upping their game if they want to keep me as a customer.

I really like flatbread pizza. Good quality ingredients, funky atmosphere in the bowling alley. Can get a bit noisy!

For a small place there is a surprisingly large amount of options besides pizza, but since that is done so well why would one bother?I had a gourmet delight white sauced, garlicy, mushrooms and carmelized oniony. The crackery crust even held its crisp overnight. Several craft beers and a well-priced wine selection, served by a seriously happy waitress underscored why it seemed to be date night for locals.Great place.

We went for an early casual family dinner. Staff welcoming and very accommodating, with service excellent. Menu explained including what to expect with their pizza. We started with calamari which was perfectly fried, crisp and not greasy. The Margherita pizza and the prosciutto were excellent. But the best was the swordfish. Great atmosphere.
