You need a car to get to the place, no public transportation. It's located very much on the countryside and not far from Parma. The other condition to visit the place is to want to eat typical Parma Food, Parma dishes. The last condition is to have a hearty appetite, no place for diets, vegans, vegetarians or special food requirement. Is eating as one did 100 years ago after a long day of hard work on the fields. After visiting the whole town which was the film location of most Don Camillo movies, we decided to have lunch here, almost the only restaurant we found open because the others were mainly sandwich bars and cafeterias.The place is evoked to Don Camillo (the hotheaded priest character created by Guareschi, an Italian journalist) all walls were almost tapestried of photos of the actors during the filming days plus posters, some authographed and some other not Don Camillo related bric-a-brac.We had a plate of sliced cured meats with savory snacks which was OK; homemade pumpkin raviolis were OK too; a homemade cooked guineafowl which was very dry, a little bit of sauce would make it palatable⦠Service very friendly and welcoming.A very good place as trattoria ambiance and service if not having top gastronomical demandings.

Over 18 é un locale nuovo che ha aperto recentemente sulla via Emilia accanto al ristorante "La Mulata". Mi é piaciuto molto è nuovo ben arredato con distesa estiva. Di solito ci andiamo a prendere una birra e qualche stuzzichino. Le birre sono veramente buone (A me piace quella chiara leggera che mi sembra si chiami "Via Emilia"). Bella l'idea di portare insieme alle birre degli stuzzichini. Il personale è gentile e veloce. Prezzo nella media ma con il plus delle birre buone e degli stuzzichini. Consigliato.

They are the artists of making wonderful stuff using pork, other excellent ingredients and lots of love for their job. Their own Lambrusco is a perfect match for the sandwiches made with yellow bread (from the curcuma added to fight the cholesterol coming with the pork), bio-pork and other several things. The location is great, on the street linking two of the most squares of Reggio Emilia. The staff are very friendly and very dedicated to their products and their work. We were looking for a Balsamic Vinegar producer and came upon Ristorante il Favo in Reggiano. It's located in a very old and renovated farm house, family run, and the food proved to be just as authentic. Amid the charm of this restaurant, was the fact that we were the only non-locals eating here. The food was very tasty, fresh and home made. Although he waiter spoke very little english we had no problems in our communications and it was fun to see all the locals enjoying their meals. The pasta's were excellent! Once again, the one dish that was ordered stood out as the winner was the ravioli. The waiter also arranged a Balsamic Vinegar tour for us where his wife works when we asked where to buy the best authentic Balsamics. Locals, you've got to love them!

I have no idea how this restaurant has such a high rating. The food ranged between poor and unexceptional and the dining room is a soulless white box upstairs in a commercial building. On a positive note, the staff were friendly. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. There are so many places in the area where you'll have better food and a nicer atmosphere.

Ho pranzato con dei colleghi in questo posto durante una trasferta di lavoro a Reggio Emilia. Il locale è molto carino, luminoso, con un bel giardino e l'arredamento curato, moderno, particolare, ma comunque familiare ed informale. Il personale è abbastanza gentile e molto preparato, il servizio curato e veloce. Io ho preso un filetto con i porcini molto buono, con carne ben cotta e morbidissima. Poi delle verdure grigliate di contorno. E per finire un ottimo zuccottino di zuppa inglese, davvero grazioso e appetitoso. Mi segnerò questo posto per la prossima trasferta. Grazie di cuore.
