We came from the UK for one night in Paris and decided to have our evening meal here as we saw they did vegan options. Very kind server who made us some delicious food. The rose water was amazing. My boyfriend said it was the best baclava heâs ever eaten :) Thank you!

Solemar seves up consistently excellent food in a quiet district in the 16th ("Village D'Auteuil). Excellent selection of mezze, from okra and eggplant to meatballs and kibbe, cooked by the owner's mother and bustling staff. Stand-outs include felafel and beef shwarma, the best in Paris. Lunch specials are excellent value. One caution: The doors may open at 7:30 p.m. but service can be slow for the first half hour or longer as the kitchen gets in gear. The staff is extremely friendly and will also do take-away.

After 6 days in Paris, I was longing for a fresh meal with lots of flavour and was delighted to find this Lebanese restaurant near my hotel. The owners are wonderfully friendly people and will go out of their way to accommodate you. We were 3 people, one gluten free, one vegetarian and moi! We were each given a different tasting plate which we all loved, as well as tasty entrees and very good wine. The service was fast and you could tell there was a lot of love and pride in everything that was made. I would highly recommend this place to everyone and would love to be there now. It was about 20 Euro each for food and drink and the servings are generous.

We werenât really wanting to ha e middle eastern food but opted for this because it was getting late and it looked like good quality food. And it was. We ate lightly- hummus, falafel, garlic chicken followed by mint tea - but it was all fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. It just felt a bit uncomfortable because there was a big group of friends of the owners who I think left the rest of us - just a few people - feeling a bit like interlopers.

Nice clean little bistro just tucked around the corner from the Oceania hotel and opposite the Carrefour store. Run by friendly chaps who freshly prepare the food and present it very nicely which was very tasty and filling. Next time we might drop in for some coffee and baklava...

After a very warm welcome, which was particularly kind as we arrived after a very tricky day of travelling with two exhausted children, we had a fabulous meal. Really friendly and accommodating staff and a delicious meal. Even our daughter, who is a little cautious about new tastes at the best of times, tucked in. We had to take 2 buses to reach the restaurant but it was well worth it. We were welcome by a great host, who make us feel like if we were in Morocco. We were 3 and we share 1 vegetarian couscous, 1 chicken couscous with raisins and 1 couscous with leg of lamb ( totally decadent), well enough for the 3 of us. Later, mint tea and some Moroccan pastries to complete our meal and we had to roll out of the place ;) As I am not a great fan of the flavor of flower of orange/ rose, the lady brought me some pastries with less orange/rose and they were delicious. We will go back on our next visit to Paris.

Come to Chez Madeleine if you want the best Mediterranean food in the Paris area. Marlon took great care of us. Madeleine comes out of the kitchen/cuisine to chat. The meals are sublime. Everything on the menu is awesome. We know because we've eaten it all! The wine selection is terrific too. We hope to return.
