Grabbed some burritos and a drink and ate in the restaurant. It was all good- and as usual i modified what I wanted vs what they have on the menu. no problem she said!

La Catrina is new to the Troy restaurant scene and they donât disappoint. The street tacos are authentic served with a variety of different protein options, cilantro and onions. On our visit we tried steak, chicken, shrimp, picadillo, chicken tinga, carnitas. All were good. They were nice enough to bring us a new menu option - al pastor. A must try. Another in my party had chimichangas with grilled chicken. The tortillas were filled with chunk chicken and the covered in quest and red sauce. All meals include your choice of a side and a soup. The chicken tortilla soup is tasty. Not American style chicken tortilla but Mexican style with shredded chicken, cilantro, and onions. The chips and fresh salsa are also a plus. Lots of good flavors. The manager and staff are fabulous.

Had a Barbacoa burrito in a bowl. That way if I only eat half I can create a wrapped burrito from the rest and have it later. Fresh chips and salsa and an ice cold soda. Right after that I needed a siesta!

There are some things that are consistent at almost all Mexican restaurants: Fast service and large portions. That is true here. We visit for lunch on Sunday about once a month. The same waiter serves us almost every time. He even knows our typical order. The food has always been good.
