We've eaten here many times, often as a family outing with at least 9 people. It's a very popular place, but we have usually been able to get a table quickly. The food is consistent and tasty, with the usual combination platters and typical Tex-Mex favorites. On my last visit, I had the chicken enchiladas with salsa verde, which was a very good choice. Other favorites at our table were the beef tacos, Chile rellenos, and the burritos. Service is fast and efficient. The kids' menu offers a good value.

Our family has been eating at Ixtapa's for many years and we love love love this location for our family meals out when we are all in town. The staff are incredibly quick and getting our drinks and food to us and the food comes hot and very tasty authentic Mexican food. The margaritas are out of this world and we are so grateful Mundo and his family have been so amazing to us throughout the years. Our Late Dad's favorite regular place to imbibe with his family and friends for the last 15+ years! Muchas Gracias!

In a very competitive "fresh mex" market, this restaurant stands above the rest. The food was awesome. No overcooked rice dry chicken or bland beans here, it was all fresh and tasty. The guacamole is comparable in quality and flavor to the "tableside" guac that has become so popular. But for the price, the overall meal was an incredible value. For less than $12, you get a burrito or bowl, side of chips (more than 2 people could finish), full order of guac and a large drink. Bottom line: better than all the rest!

This place was great. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. We ordered a queso, guacamole and two salsas with chips dish. All were great. My wife had the three taco special and I had the adabado quesadilla. We both had the street corn. You can tell this food is fresh. I will go back to this place every time I am in Montgomery. It was busy but service was great.

My granddaughter chose San Marcos for the family to meet her boyfriend and his family while we were in Montgomery. First, they seated our group of 15 right away and were super attentive and friendly. Brought out the chips and salsa right away and several Queso dips. We looked at the menu (which had so much to choose from) and couldn't believe the prices! I picked a tamale and taco and it was around $4. My husband chose three tacos and that was similarly inexpensive. The two of us are for $14 with drinks. My son had delicious steak tacos and their family of 5 ate for less than $40 with drinks Terrific little lunch or dinner spot. Good job San Marcos!!

Loved the funky retro laid back "Buddha Bar" soundtrack vibe going on here...... and decent enough food to go with it. Not the best food I've ever had - but we would go back again for the retro fun atmosphere and the food. Queso Dip and chips were very good, as was the salsa and guacamole. The Mighty Meat Chicken Burrito was a meal for sure! Everyone left pleasant full! Nice spot and worth the visit!

As a native Californian that grew up knowing what good Mexican food should be I find the choices in my new home area of Florida to be bland and lacking in flavor because the cafe owners tend to dial it back a bit to cater to those in the Florida retirement communities that want less spice. This place was different! The best I have had in quite a long time! The building is not much to look at, you worry when its a building between two gas stations with an old asphalt parking lot but I was surprised as it was clean and well staffed. There was nobody there eating when I pulled in at 5:00 PM but by 6:30 it was crowded by locals and families out for Friday night eats. I had the Carne Asada Tacos on corn tortillas, onion, pico and lime wedge. The Tomatillo sauce had just the right level of spice and heat and the meat was seasoned perfectly. Four double level overflowing soft corn tacos priced at under $10, this was the bargain for me, and so good and filling I completely ignored the rice and beans. I also noted that on the menu they had chilaquiles too which are almost impossible to find in the southeast. That is what I will order next time! The food is way above average.

La Zona Rosa is easily the best Mexican restaurant in town. They have a very good lunch menu with a lot of options. The food is very cheap. You can get a good, filling lunch for under $10. Where else can you say that? The food is extremely good as well. I would have paid quite a lot more for the quality and taste of the food I received over lunch. Would definitely go back.

Nice little Mexican restaurant in the alley. Great service, outside seating, kid friendly. My wife and I were able to sit outside with our 2 under 2 with no issues. Plates come out HOT but I will take fresh food over cold food. Food was great, street tacos and Montana!!!!! good salsa!! I would definitely go back!! and the margaritas are great! they come in small to pitcher sized!!

My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant last weekend and we were not overwhelmed. Chips were not crispy and the salsa was less than memorable. We ate tamales which were dry and chicken enchiladas with verde sauce that were mediocre. Our server delivered our food and abandoned us even though we were dining around 4 in a somewhat empty space. We finally flagged him down for a check. There have to be much better Mexican restaurants in Montgomery than this.
