Bob's Burgers

I have been eating at various Bob's Burgers locations for many years now. Some are better than others in terms of service and food quality. I have never been GAGA about their food or their service at ANY of their locations, but we love chile, and like to try different places/foods. About a year ago, we decided to stop going to the Los Lunas store after we ate there and immediately felt sick. Let me tell you, it got a lot worse. A few days ago, we decided to give them another try. The Ranchero Burger (their main green chile cheeseburger) was a sloppy flavorless mess. The bun fell apart. The Patty Melt was greasy and not really grilled enough. The cooks couldn't even figure out how to match up the pieces of rye bread. The service was mediocre. I probably won't go back any time soon.

My mom was bragging that C&J's burgers were better than any other. Even those from Lotta Burger. Well she proved herself right because what you got was not just 'a' hamburger. It was 'the' Hamburger. Delicious with green chili! How could you go wrong in ordering one of these. The staff were great. Kind, Courteous and made our Day. Thanks.

Chili's

Reviewed By Funtraveler2014

I have been a fan of Chilis for several decades and have enjoyed the great burgers, fajitas, chips, salsa, guacmole, and other great menu items over the years. The wild card factor with this brand is the wide variation in service, cleanliness and sometimes even food quality. This restaurant fits into the low end of the wildcard draw. We did visit on a weekend night but that should not be a reason to serve up average. The restaurant looked unkept. My chili was served almost room temperature, they were out of one of the side items but our server was personable. Overall, while this is not a bad choice, there are probably several other better values within a few miles of this Chili's.

I really enjoyed my eating experience at this place, and even visited it several times. The food was excellent and very New Mexican and they offered me both red and green chili with the meals, so no excuse not to get the real taste of the area. The Sopapillas were great and I was full when I left the place. Everything I tried was good.

Marisco's Altamar

This was recommended by our hotel and we thought why not. Nicely decorated and lots of room. Immediately seated and got drinks. Waitress was helpful with the drinks--nothing sweet, etc. Ordering food was ok but waitress didn't tell me about all the mushrooms involved in the veggie medley and my sea bass dish--and didn't inform me about all of them. When food arrived, I saw the mushrooms and about died. The manager had delivered the food and saw my disapproval. He took the dish back and had it totally redone and brought out very quickly. The sea bass was amazing and the veg dish was so good and different: carrots, celery and corn. We loved it.

Benny's II

Son recently moved to Los Lunas, he took us here for a burger. On the main street as you come into Los Lunas from the I-25 on your right, easy to spot because the building is more established then the booming surrounding area, parking is adequate though at busy times may be tight, no RV or trailer parking here. The décor is lacking, basically a big room with booths and tables/chair, though appeared clean. Menu was basic, with good choices. Service was quick, no pressure to order quickly. Ordered the green chili burger and it was juicy, cooked to perfection and would order again...the fries were okay. I would come again, and try a few of their other items.

TJ's New Mexican

Reviewed By StorySearcher

Friends in Albuquerque recommended TJ's as a great place to find superb New Mexican food. We enjoyed the scenery during the short drive south along Coors Blvd from ABQ and then pulled into a packed parking lot -- this place is popular. We waited about 10 minutes for a table (one thing TJ's could improve on is seating for people waiting for a table). Service once at the table was swift, and the food blew our minds; it was so good. While TJ's is simply too busy to offer the kind of relaxed, family-like warmth of, say, Abuelita's on Albuquerque's south side, the food is incredible. I grew up in New Mexico, and I'm always looking for great NM food. My New Mexican Food Greatest Hit Restaurant List now includes: El Paragua (Espanola); Rancho de Chimayo (Chimayo); Tomasita's, The Pantry and La Choza (Santa Fe); El Charritos and Abuelita's (Albuquerque); and TJ's (Los Lunas).

Teofilos Restaurante

The food at this restaurant was delicious. I had chili rellenos which had a nice crispy coating and creamy cheese inside. The green chili on top was flavorful and had the right hotness. My husband had the carne adovado which he stated was tender and also flavorful. The sopapillas were light and fluffy. We enjoyed this meal. We definitely will be back.
