Kernersville is a town in Forsyth County, in the U.S. state of North Carolina. A small portion of the town is also in Guilford County. The population was 23,123 at the 2010 census, up from 17,126 at the 2000 census. Kernersville is located at the center of the Piedmont Triad metropolitan area, between Greensboro to the east, High Point to the south, and Winston-Salem to the west. Some of the rural farmland surrounding the town has been sold and turned into large middle-to-upper-class housing developments, and numerous large shopping centers have been built in the town over the past few years. Flue-cured tobacco was the major crop grown in the area and is still grown in some areas today. While Kernersville went through a growth spurt in the first decade of the 21st century, it has leveled off and farms are doing well for the most part in an attempt to revitalize the agricultural community.

We like our local Taco Bell very much.The food is always fresh,.the service always good. One time my husband was there to bring lunch home and forgot what I wanted so Estrella (one of the very friendly servers) called me at home and got my order by phone! I thought that was above and beyond! We have always had a good fast food meal there.

Farm fresh veggies. I love the food. Huge burritos, you can eat half and save the rest for later. Delicious guacamole...not puréed avocados. The cheese dip is great and the give you ample chips. My favorite thing is the burrito bowl. All the ingredients of a burrito minus the tortilla. Also try the spicy ranch sauce. The workers are super patient and friendly.

We visited Frida's with friends for the first time. The restaurant is decorated in authentic Mexican style. Waiter greeted us immediately upon being seated. We placed our order and had the guacamole which was made right at our table. Having been to Mexico many times this guacamole was as close as we have come without actually being there. Food was very good and reasonable. I had the taco salad and my husband had the enchiladas. Will definitely go back.

We tried this place for the number of reviews vs stars. We were NOT disappointed. We eat mexican quite a bit and this place ran about average. The steak fajitas were tasty and the meat was the way we like it. Although adding tomatoes to the mix and giving 3 tortillas would run along with other restaurants. My MIL had the fish and was happy with it. My strawberry margarita was really good and you could taste the alcohol... usually you can't. If i didn't live in upstate NY I'd prolly come back too eat here.

We decided to return and eat lunch at El Palenque. They seem to have a revised menu. I had one of their new items: steak with chorizo. It was delicious and the chorizo was zesty but not too spicy. Their refried beans were just okay. Hubby had the ACS - beef fajitas cooked with veggies and served in a cheese sauce over rice. I normally would take half my meal home, but wasn't sure how my steak would reheat. We had excellent service. They have a new strategy - they give you a paper disc with red on one side and green on the other. If you need a server, you put the green side up on your table. The whole staff was very attentive. We had 5 staff members visit our table on their own : the manager, our server, and three other staff members who refilled chips and drinks. We will visit again soon.
