We stopped at the Corner Bistro with no particular expectation. Simply because on a Sunday afternoon not much was opened. And Oh my God. Best pizza ever. Huge! But so so thin. It was delectable. Same with the home made apple and almond cake. Our waiter Zain was a lovely attentive young man and the owners, a delightful German couple, even came to talk to us and asked if we liked the pizze. Clearly! Our plates were empty. The owner and chef imports his flour from Italy no less. Everything was just lovely down to the mini amaretto biscuit with our coffee.

We were keen to sample for one last time this year, the wonderful two for one fish and chip lunch time deal that's been running throughout the winter season at Fat Fish. Sadly the offer finishes this week for the summer months - but what better than delicious hake and crunchy chips at a bargain price and to make it even more memorable, we were lucky enough to be served by the lovely Jeanne. Apart from making us feel so welcome, her expert knowledge of the menu and the wines, both local and country wide, made it a meal to enjoy and remember. She recommended the Egebaston Chardonnay, lightly oaked and completely delicious - thanks for the recommendation Jeanne and hope to see you again soon!Dear howarda741Thank you for that fabulous review! Unfortunately, all good things come to an end...well at least until next winter. Do however hope that it won't be six months until we see all our Tuesday and Thursday lunch locals again. Will pass on your compliments to Jeanne who has yet again been an absolute star on the floor. We are so blessed to have a team that are passionate and knowledgable about what they do.Once again, many thanks for the positive feedback.Kind regards,The Fat Fish
