This place has gone way way downhill. I remember coming here years ago with my dad and thinking it was great. When I was here a few days ago with my boyfriend, I was legitimately embarrassed I suggested that we try this place. While the service was great throughout our meal, the huge problem was the food:Sausage and broccoli rabe was mediocre - homemade sausage? really? and the broccoli rabe was overcooked in my opinion.Tagliatelle al Limone - outright bad. I know they use fresh pasta, but this was way way overcooked. The lemon was so overpowering, and not in a good way. The whole thing was just too one-note. No complexity...nothing. The prosciutto was poor quality and flavorless - it added nothing. The entree portion size was too small as well. If you're going to offer entree sizes - actually give entree-size portions or step your pasta game up.Pumpkin Tortellini - This was their pasta special that evening. We literally got 12 tiny tortellini for $23 as the entree size. It was a total joke. Basically $2 per tiny and overcooked tortellini? The pumpkin filling was fine, but could have used more flavor. The brown butter sage sauce was nice, but we were just so off-put by how ridiculous the portion size was.We were so bummed out that we decided not to waste any more money on dessert. Save your money and don't come to this place until they get their act together. This was such a disappointment, especially because this restaurant used to be SO MUCH BETTER.

I have to say this was not my first choice but my friends said the reviews were good and it had something for my friend who has limited did interests. We were greater by a lovely waitress who was very patient and accommodating to us. We changed our minds a couple times. Unfortunately, as good as maybe the dishes looked, they did not meet our expectations. My friends were talking me out for an extra special birthday and I ended up feeling guilty for they spending way too much money on disappointing food. I didn't get the names of the two wait-staff that helped us but they were the saving grace. The girl who I assume was supposed to be the hostess was too busy in her phone to acknowledge us when we left. An expensive disappointment which I'll feel guilty about for awhile. Not what I wanted for my birthday! My friends are wonderful and said it didn't matter but I feel it did.

Early dinner at Suraya was as delicious as I had been led to believe.A lovely, airy space with 2 bars and many comfortable tables, it is inviting and bustling. Our server, Macy, could not have been more attentive nor knowledgeable. Her understanding of what we were looking for paired with her grasp of the menu provided us with a perfect dining experience. We opted for 5 mezze items. The hummus was splendid, as were the grape leaves. But you would expect them to be.The warm chickpea dish with eggplant, crisp pita shavings, in a tahini yogurt with what tasted like almonds was incredible. There was a sweet richness offset with the tangy yogurt. But the brown butter finish to the dish made my taste buds dance with delight.Batata Harra, crispy potatoes with thinly sliced long hot peppers, garlic, cilantro and lemon juice was incredibly satisfying and amazingly filling. There was a light heat to the dish, but in the best possible way.The highlight for us was the soon-to-be-on-the-regular-menu-I-hope grilled cauliflower dish. The flavors, and I'm guessing here, included mint, yogurt, lemon, hit every possible part of the tongue. It's 20 hours later and I am still thinking about this dish. All in all, a very affordable experience. Fresh ingredients, delicious food, great wait staff.

Had a lovely Friday night at Nunzios with friends. We were seated right on time in the first part of the restaurant. The ambiance was amazing-seemed like we were in a courtyard in Italy! Lots of decorations and color. We were packed in closely. Luckily our table was more toward a pathway. Waiters and customers farther in had to squeeze their way through.Tasty bruschetta for an appetizer as well as some delicious crispy plain bread (with a weird green butter or something-I wouldVastly prefer an herbed olive oil for dipping) for the table. Waiter quickly filled our water glasses and took extra glasses away. We brought some tasty beers, but a bottle of wine would have fit with the ambiance and the food better. The men had salads-house salad was meh, but Caesar salad delicious.Main meals arrived fairly quickly-really a perfect amount of time to chat. One special of Mediterranean bass stuffed with crabmeat and shrimp was excellent. Slightly changed pasta with sun dried tomatoes and crabmeat-I asked for shrimp instead of crab and it was no problem. This was completely dairy free and absolutely wonderful. The veal shank was a huge hunk of meat and seemed to be delicious. I’m disturbed by the whole tortured baby cow idea of veal though...One appetizer, 2 salads, 4 outstanding meals, with just water to drink since byob, total cost with good tip was $180. Great night out; we will be back!Hi Medfordnjmom;Glad Nunzio’s helped make your evening great. We appreciated you describing the flavors and nuances of the dishes. Kitchen is thrilled you enjoyed the food. Looking forward to having you back soon.

Wow, is this place something. Exuberant staff calling out their orders make this seem a dressed down, Tel Aviv neighborhood kind of place. Don’t be fooled: Zahav cooks up Israeli cuisine at its creative zenith. Order the tasting menu, which gives you free reign at $48.00 a head. We especially loved chicken shishlik, hummus with laffa pita, twice cooked eggplant salad, halloumi cheese in kataif pastry, and fried cauliflower. Be’te avon (bon apetit)!

Cafe La Maude

Reviewed By 760billa

I often wonder why most restaurants who serve breakfast even need to print a menu. Most offer similar selections of pancakes, waffles and eggs prepared in the standard combinations. At Cafe La Maude, a menu is truly needed because they offer an inventive selection of breakfast specials. And, these breakfast specials contain a broad array of vegetables, sauces and bread that are not often found on a breakfast menu. But, most of all, the food is delicious. The prices are a little high relative to standard breakfast dishes. But, given the quality and quantity of food provided, I think the prices are reasonable. I can't wait to go back !
